Russian paramilitary groups have taken control of a small village along the Ukraine border and sent Putin's troops fleeing, new video shows.

The Ukraine-based Russian partisan rebels claimed to have captured the border village of Tyotkino, even after Russia said it had pushed back invasions.

The Freedom of Russia Legion (FRL), Siberian Battalion (SB) and the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) posted videos ostensibly showing their soldiers warring in Russia's western Belgorod and Kursk regions today.

The Russian partisans staged incursions into Putin's territory today and evidently blew up an armoured personnel carrier in Kursk region.

Video appeared to show Russia troops retreating but there was no initial confirmation.

Russian paramilitary groups 'take control of Russian village, sending Putin's troops and tanks fleeing'

The three Russian paramilitary groups claim to have crossed into Russia to fight Putin's troops in a dramatic turn against the government as the Russian president seeks re-election this week.

'We will take our land from the regime centimetre by centimetre,' the Freedom of Russia Legion said in a Telegram post announcing their incursion this morning.

They claimed in recent days 100 people, six tanks, Caesar self-propelled guns, and 20 enemy armoured vehicles were destroyed on the border of Kursk and Belgorod region.

It sure looks like Putin isn't getting his own way, after thousands of people turn out for the funeral of Alexei Navalny, it now looks like more Freedom fighters within Russia are trying to claw their country back from the dicatator.
These Russian partisans staged incursions into Putin's territory today and blew up an armoured personnel carrier in the Kursk region.
This on the same day as two drone attacks on oil refineries inside Russia.
Do our members think that this could be the start of the down fall of Putins government or do you guys think he'll start more clamp downs on the Russian population just before the "election".

He'll clamp down on the Russian population. Some will fight back. It'll get messy. Eventually Putin will die and the stranglehold will die with him, and a significant portion of the population will rise up. Unfortunately, there will be those who are indoctrinated into thinking that a fantasy Russian utopia can happen with Putin and/or his policies and they'll hang on. But eventually freedom will come to the Russian people. Just not while Putin is alive, IMHO.

It was a hit-and-run operation. They were driven back into Ukraine.

I think the harder Mad Vlad tries to keep his people under his grip, eventually the more control he will lose.
We in the west still have some freedoms left, so our governments still retains power, but governments like Russias only have one way to go, and that's down if Putin 'wins' this election.
More Russians will be sent to fight and die in his illegal war in Ukraine and more oligarchs will lose their homes and yachts abroad, and if Europe gets their way, seized money too.

I imagine we'll be seeing much more of this.
Putin is losing his grip on Russia...and this is when dictators are the most dangerous.

Ummm...careful Charles...you run the risk of the clique piling on...

"Seven tanks...(one a T55)...three Bradley infantry fighting vehicles...and two armored combat vehicles...along with 234 troops"...that all burned as a result of the Ukrainian failed incursion into Russia...that never even made it past the border...

But lets do hype it up into some monumental undertaking...and portray it as a puerile victory...

Talk about a reach around...

I think, compared to Putin's internal security apparatus, these are 'pinprick' raids.

Evidence of Russian dissent with his regime? Yes.

Let us recall there was also dissent within Hitler's regime. Even with a serious attempt to assassinate him, the regime kept rolling until it was completely overrun by opposing countries.

One factor that may be underestimated is that Putin is the devil the Russians know, and they may fear more what could come after Putin's regime falls.

Cheers

Ummm...actually...in the grand scheme of things...this...ahem...incursion...was merely target practice for the Russian military...and only retains significance in the minds of those suffering under the sway of the Western three letters...

Also...President Putin is enjoying an 85% approval rating...the number of those volunteering for the military...averages 30,000 a month...

30,000

Russians are joining the military at rates of up to 30,000 per month, mostly due to the military’s comparatively high salaries, Ukrainian intelligence deputy chief, Vadym Skibitskyi, said in an interview with Ukrainian news outlet RBC-Ukraine published on Jan. 15.

And that's from Ukrainian intelligence...

So...I think your premise is flawed...

Just because one very small terrorist group...makes the western MSM...after they were sent scurrying......does not a revolution make...

Along those lines...I wonder if Russians believe China no longer wants to gobble up Russia from the South and the East.
The weaker Russia gets...the more China will see opportunity.

Surprised it's not 100%

Those 15% who have disobeyed had better keep in hiding.

That whole thing strikes me as a calculated risk on the part of the Russian state.

Yes, they and China have some situations in common. But with the China making noises about how Vladivostok is actually part of China ... hmm.

Then again, Beijing may believe that simply by force of economic ties, Siberia will at some point become effectively controlled by China without the need for a war.

Cheers

Those 15% in Russia are just like 15% of Democrat voters in US elections....They're already dead.

Chinas thirst may come for Lake Baikal (pun intended).

China may take note of Russia expressing historical claims and set their sites on Outer Manchuria and use the lake as a negotiating piece.

Russians are attacking Russians to gain control of a Russian village?

I hope this doesn't mean we'll have to start sending Russians tens of billions of dollars' worth of arms so they can fight off the Russians and drive them out of Russian territory.

Sounds like something our current administration would do.

Good'good.

Nice to see the chinks in the Russian armour materialising back home.

Putin is blaming it on ""mercenaries"" of course as opposed to his own people.

Then again its not like he's got many choices on that score.

Freedom To Ukraine and down with the Russian scum invaders.

Every admin has given Ukraine aid post 2014 to honor the Budapest memorandum. The last admin was the first to provide lethal aid.
