If anything, I'd be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, as he may have been speaking metaphorically.

NATO denied any plans to send troops to Ukraine. Could be that two or three countries suggested the direct intervention but other members disagreed. Any military intervention requires the consensus. Russia is harping on Macron's words that "nothing can be ruled out" but the majority of the NATO membership rules out sending troops.

I wonder where this conspiracy theory came from. I didn't watch the video, is this where it came from? Does the video cite credible sources for their info?

I hate to disappoint the WW3 fetishists but if NATO troops in Ukraine on an "advisory" role wind up getting killed, here's what's gonna happen:

1. Lots of confused bluster from Biden and other Western leaders
2. "Emergency" meeting (even though they already know what they're gonna do)
3. Joint statement about why they're not invoking Article V, but they're super super serious that if it happens again it'll be curtains for Putin!

The West is led by a bunch of empty suits. How many times do I have to remind you, we're over 2 years into this now and our leaders still haven't even had the balls to go full throttle on sanctions. They're too timid and afraid of provoking Putin with sanctions.

How do any of you believe they have the stomach for actual war with Russia?

I am of the mind this has all been worked out years ago and the outcome is all agreed on. Action requires a certain reaction etc. At some stage, the war acts will be implemented, rationing imposed, and after it is all done and dusted. The changes will be thrust through.Note that Russia now has cut its internet off to an internal one, the same as China.So information can be tightly controlled,at the same time the Western Ministry of truth gets serious. After a few billion people get incinerated like rats in a trap. It looks like Europe is on the verge of civil war, France thinks it can put troops into Ukraine when government buildings are getting bricked up.The Polish farmers have blocked the entry point into Ukraine and are hoisting Russian flags. and the media is censoring in Europe and the Uk. They are calling all this disinformation,most people will see through this and get on the streets. The thing is though, if Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine in the first place nobody would have thought they were a threat.
Russia isn't surrounded, certainly not by NATO.

However, the vast majority of those ex-Warsaw Pact countries that share a border with Russia or are very close to it have reason to distrust Russia and have relatively recent experiences of Russian expansionism and control.

....it looks like they are being forced into a confrontation which they do not want.

If they hadn't invaded Ukraine there would be no confrontation.
If they call an immediate ceasefire and return to the pre-invasion borders there would be no confrontation.
It really is pretty #ing simple.

The question is are the leaders of Europe total idiots, or are they enacting laws that they know will have the effect that we are seeing? At this rate with the growing civil unrest, when it is all done and dusted they will be in the Russian Federation within the next two years. That is after the present politicians have been through the show trials and get the noose for corruption. Their only way out is war at this stage that's what generally happens getting them all united for the common enemy because all the problems have been caused by Russia. But nobody believes it. The average Joe doesn't give a # who's running things as long as he has enough so it will be a confused set of circumstances.. No soldier from Slovakia will go to Ukraine that's Slovakia making it plain who side they are on .You have to bear in mind if the people in Poland try to dodge the draft their bank accounts will be closed what does that remind you of.

What we are seeing in the EU and NATO leadership are signs of panic. This means things are not going well in the battlefield of the Ukraine. If they want to improve the situation they will have to pour troops in. Or negotiate a peace deal.

You Forgot about the U.S. " Star Wars " Program launched in the Late 1980's by the Reagan Administration . It was the Reason the Soviet Union Collapsed . Space Based Weapon Systems able to Destroy incoming Missile's before they Reach their Targets . I would Think that Tech has come along way since then .

You can google Ballistic Missile Defense System or US BMDS and get a pretty clear idea of how capable it is including how many interceptors there are. It was not designed to deal with the big players like Russia and China, only small salvos from places like NK.

Add to that would be the on doing the first strike would send a flurry of hypersonics beforehand to take out key defense infrastructure. I won't comment on who has more mature hypersonics. Mutally assured destruction has always been pretty well understood.
