Is it common for dictators to willingly relinquish their power and authority?

No, which is why it is an awesome thing when people on both sides of the political spectrum realize when one person shouldn't have total control. Lets hope in this upcoming election, we don't have to consider the consequences again.

No One in the U.S. Government has " Total Control " Over Anything . 3 Branches Decide in Unison or Not at All . Oh , and by the way , Executive Orders are Not Law , Only " Suggestions " that can be Heeded or Not .

I agree, which is why I don't want Donald Trump to be the next President. You may think he is harmless. I don't.

You are not right. On February 15, Navalny participated in a court hearing via video link. He was cheerful, did not complain about anything, and smiled.
According to the preliminary version, a blood clot suddenly broke loose. No one is immune from this.

Something else strikes me: the complete lack of principles and disregard for human life in the West. A man died - it's a tragedy. But yesterday, a 5-month-old girl, a baby, and 6 other civilians died from a Western missile in the city of Belgorod. Are you not interested?

The vast majority of Russians share one opinion about Navalny’s death: “The West raised him, the West led him, the West killed him.”

All life is worth the same, so I agree with you!

However, I don't trust any of the leaders in this world right now, so there we disagree.

I do not know if he died from "natural" causes or if somebody killed him.

We do not have the facts!

Ukraine is losing support, what if they killed him because they want to manipulate everybody just to get their support back? We just don't know anything right now!

However, if Putin is indeed a Christian then he needs to start acting that way - and stop this war.

RIGHT NOW!

All talk about the causes of Navalny’s death is now speculation. We need to wait for the results of the official medical report.
In the meantime, you need to ask yourself one simple question: “Who benefits from this?” In my opinion, this death is absolutely not beneficial for Russia, but it is very beneficial for the West and Ukraine. Just at least interrupt the narrative from the capture of the city of Avdeevka by Russian troops and knock out even more money and weapons for Ukraine.

Yup, we agree again!

I just want this war to stop, and I think anybody who is sane want the same thing.

Humanity has been here so long, but we still have a need for greed - it is so sad because greed always leads to a dead end!

Humans should have learned that by now.

True.
But I don't think it can be denied that being imprisoned in a Russian Gulag miles north of the Arctic Circle after previously being poisoned by the Russian State on Putin's orders will have been good for his health.

We need to wait for the results of the official medical report.

Which obviously will say whatever Putin and The Kremlin want it to say.

Well Putin is rid of a popular opponent and its a timely reminder to the Russian people that resistance is futile.

The American and English Gulags are much more terrible than the Russian ones. How many people died in the Western Gulags - you know better than me. And on ATS this was written about in many threads.

Do you know the difference between an English man and a Russian? The English man spends his entire life asking questions. And a Russian spends his whole life looking for answers to questions)))

Have you tried to work and search?)))

Thing is RT when making a claim it's up to you to substantiate that claim not for other members to do your work for you.

Of 4,200 deaths registered in Russian prisons, 461 were suicides, the report said. Russia has also shown the highest inmate mortality rate among major European countries — six deaths per 1,000 prisoners, while in other countries this figure stands at about 2.8, the report said.

What a disgusting way for English gentlemen to constantly claim that Russians owe them something.)))

And if it turns out that they don’t owe, then it’s “Putin’s fault.”

It seems to me that if you are shown Rorschach blots on a psychological test, you will instantly answer that “this is Putin, and the Russians must”))))

Where is anyone from the UK claiming Russians owe them something RT?

What is it you imagine we think you owe us?

The TnC are clear however, if you make a claim the onus is on you to provide facts and links to support such.

That's nothing to do with the UK, and just how we roll here at ATS.

Most of the people shedding fake puppy tears here and abroad don’t even know anything about Navalny really.

All a desperate attempt to try to point fingers at Putin and distract attention that NATOs little pet project with Ukraine is now losing its most fortified area in Ukraine right now. And have “AZOV” now in there too getting boiled alive.

“BuT at wUt CosTs!”

“It’s just another damn Russian pyrrhic VictOriEz!!!!”

“Look at Navalny!! Not at Avdiivka!!! It’s another damn pyrrhic VictoriEz!”

You made a statement, all I'm doing is asking you to back it up.
If you can't then fine.

Put up or shut up.

ETA.

Oh, and just to say....I don't think anyone owes me anything, least of all Russia.
Don't know where you dragged that up from.
You're ramblings seem to be quite bizarre today RT, is everything ok?
