They found out that civil cases are much easier to do and there might not be any statute of limitations with them. All you need is for a judge to allow it and it is basically done. What they are doing is not caring about convictions, they just want to put people under investigation until they are broke. The State can go forever... In Trump's case, the judge controls it all and so she won 5 million with zero anything, but her word, then another 87 million because Trump said it was all BS.

Interestingly enough, Carroll has publicly stated that she wouldn't sue Trump, this was shortly after her article, because it would cause harm to women being raped at the border.


Then she is "convinced" to help craft this law and use it for going after Trump.
