This has been aided by the unmitigated disaster that has been this country's immigration policy for the last 30-40 years.
Enough is enough.

This made me think of Enoch Powell's Rivers of Blood speech.

I say the only way the likes of Sunak will ever be able to encourage the majority of fighting-of-age men in the UK, to go to far-off shores, to fight for the bankers and politicians, is if the UK was actually invaded.

Stuff dying for they bastard's troops, it's not like they would return the favor.

They’ll say you did your duty, or was shot as a cowardly deserter.

I agree, would you join if your son was Shanghai’d? How about if you were ostracised for remaining? Did you see people succumb to the covid peer pressure, that was a display of the ‘stupidity of a mob’ and you will see it used here as well (if draft ever eventuates)

I gotta say, I am in two minds about how I would feel if conscripted....in the unlikely event that the country needs more fat, old blokes with a history of strokes etc. I would feel like sticking up two fingers to the government...but, a small part of me would maybe enjoy the laugh of spending the last few weeks of life before the mushroom clouds, stuck with a bunch of similar minded idiots somewhere.
I mean, if you are gonna die, make it a hold my beer moment, right?

You only die once, may as well enjoy it 👍

It is all a bit suspicious, they seem to be planning a war that no one wants, and it will be conducted by them in bunkers safe and deep. As time went on with the present unpopular governments to hold their power a form of Martial law was evident in the early days to maintain their positions at the top of the pile. Is it still part of the depopulation plan because it seems that more and more civilians are getting blown away than ever before?

I hope they are not expecting a council house, proper prosthetics, or mental health care, should they manage to make it back home in one piece, or pieces both mentally and physically.

Considering the amount of poor homeless ex-squaddies we find bedding down in our towns and streets.

Then again if the nukes fly there won't really be many towns and streets left standing.

"In the words of a wise man.......so?"

My son is 11, i think he might be fine for a while.

How about if you were ostracised for remaining?

Same as the rest of the multitude of millions that refused to die for the politician's and banker's wet dream i should imagine, so tickety-boo.

Did you see people succumb to the covid peer pressure, that was a display of the ‘stupidity of a mob’ and you will see it used here as well (if draft ever eventuates)

No, i saw people make a choice, simple as that.

As to drafts well that's as big "if" because i think TPTB knows it simply would not fly short of the UK being invaded.

True enough and, in the unlikely event I survive, I was thinking of some of my grandad's old stories about battling Japs through the jungles and how, in hindsight he had a right laugh.

I am sure mine only told me the ones he could make sound a bit funny.
After he died, I read about some of the stuff and it was horrifying...like the battle of the Admin box, Ramreee island and the retreat after the 1st Chindit expedition.
He always loved Gurkhas, Sikhs and West Africans though, reckoned they were all ace fighters.

Well just about every street in the country still has an Isa Drennan or thereabouts.

So that's the intelligence gathering services sorted, coz their type are "still game" if they really want to go down that avenue.

The phones will be ringing off the hook, and flying off the wall, with every old biddy in the land chiming up and complaining about anything, everything, and everyone.

""My next-door neighbor looked at me funny the other day and i heard them talking in a funny voice, terrorists for sure""

""I don't think that one at number 62 has a telly licence.""

""The weans up that close have nits, and she dizzny wash the stairs enough.""

Stuff sifting through that pile of opinionated horse sh@te that's apt to materalise.

I will gladly fight in the armed forces...

The Russians already warned us a offshore nuke would be used Andy , I used to look in wonder at the stuff underwater coming from the oil platforms I was working on at the time , What we see on top is a fraction of what is under the water , it is scary

Everything goes down including the Internet , we are kidding ourselves on that we would be called up into some Home guard dad's army as we would all be toast in hours or days if anything went down .

In some areas up here I could drive from the east coast to the west in 40 minutes and living near the coast the tidal wave would roll across and wipe out mostly everything , lucky I know where a few dumbs are located ! As I seem to be a lot like a cockroach and survive anything that life throws at me
when I had a stroke in April last year I just wanted to see the new year in , so every day is a bonus to me bud .

Not really worried about nukes, grew up with that bullsh@t same as yourself, Glasgow would most likely be toast in any sort of nuclear exchange.

Given the major population density and proximity to the base/storage facility up the road at Faslane(HMNB Clyde).

It would be over relatively quick for me and mine.

However, anything Russia did, would immediately trigger Article 5, and our subs would respond in kind, the same as the rest of the NATO nuclear-armed boats.

We lose big time in any sort of nuclear exchange, but so does Russia, hence the reason nuclear war is a mug's game in a M.A.D world.

Also, Putin knows he's personally targeted at all times, he launches anything significant at our island and his fate is sealed.

The Russians have one Nuclear bomb that could take out most of Scotland. Just one is all that's needed. Three would end the UK and make it unlivable for 100 years.
