Tell ya what, I’ll solve your illegal immigration problem instantly.

Firstly, quit attacking all these desperate poor people just trying to make a better life for themselves and start directing your anger at the American citizens who are knowingly hiring them for the cheap labour.

10 years mandatory jail for American citizens who knowingly hire illegal immigrants because their to cheap to pay a proper wage, which most Americans expect… problem solved!

Are drug dealers just unlicensed Pharmacists and get a bad rap, or pedophiles just Minor Attracted people being marginalized by "the man"?

Back to the point at hand though, the only way to solve the US illegal immigration issue, is by addressing the US’s addiction to cheap labour

Why a limey thinks they should have a say about our border I have no idea. Why don't you try coming in that way? If you're female plan on getting raped at least once but probably more. It's such a popular pastime for the smugglers they have created something called "rape trees". You should look into it.

And then shut TF up

Need to drain the British Channel.

It’s wet and migrants drown in it.

Also, it keeps them in France. That’s just inhumane.

No, the government wants those people and eventually they will either not jail employers at all, but either pay them to hire those people, or simply pass a law/ruling/ignore that which you hold as a solution.

sure states have rights but the border isn't just texas border, its also the US border and the US is the supreme authority within our borders, not any state.

Worse thing is, no explanation from any of the justices! The author of the below article can't believe the Supreme Court is surrounded by a fence and barriers in order to keep potentially dangerous people out, but Texas isn't allowed to take reasonable measures to keep potentially dangerous people out.

As much as I hate that, it is probably the reason why the Court acted that way.

The Feds can open or close the US border as they see fit.

And the Feds have opened the border.

Disgusting, but legal.

Correct.

If congress had a spine, articles of impeachment would be ready to go for Biden, Mayorkas and Garland for breaking the laws set fourth by Congress.

You think the convenience of barbarity is the answer. I'm afraid I don't have an argument against that that you will understand

There are consequences for both Americans and the illegal themselves when the resources are not properly allocated to handle them.

You take the easy solution to make yourself feel better , but can't be bothered to be worried about the consequences of your lazy solution.

Its easy to virtue signal like NYC city did and like yourself. However, when it comes to actually do what they and you claim is the right thing to do and it impacts you, than all the sudden you get a change of heart and start to look for solutions to weasel out of what you created. However, you wont weasel out until everyone else pays the consequence due to your naiveness.

The fact is I was born in a sh1thole country but came here legally, so I know why many are coming and what they are escaping from. I don't blame them, i blame OUR irresponsible govt that is willing to destroy us for political gain and other narratives.

You can't help others if you destroy yourself first and that is what the democrats are doing. This is nothing about helping these illegal immigrants, its purely politics and business for them.

They are coming here without legal paper work , no jobs, no housing, and no means to support themselves legally . That translate to slave labor with no worker rights for many of them and they will be abused by local business but even gangs, and criminal activity within their own communities as they have little to no options to survive. Many are even brought here as sex workers and slaves to work for the traffickers that sent them here and if they don't send back enough money or do as they say they will kill loved ones left behind.

I dont see why Texas doesn't just say no. We are not going to abide by this ruling and make a stand on this issue. Biden done it when they said he couldnt forgive student loan debt. Democrats do it all the time. A court says they cant but still they do.

Welp, so much for the ‘supermajority extreme MAGA republican’ Supreme Court some posters here always cry about.

It’s really going to get goofy when the billion dollar fraud starts just as soon as the dems figure out a way to give tax credits to citizens who house illegals. It’s coming.

Section 4

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

Seems Texas should go straight back to USSC and file against Federal government based on the above quoted text of the U.S. Constitution.

Texas did that when the DOJ told them to not arrest people who crossed the river, instead of using a port of entry. So far Texas Law Enforcement has ignored the Dept of Justice's order/demand.

Texas should stand its ground. If there are thousands of national guard troops along the border, just keep any of the federal agents away that are trying to dismantle the fencing. Tell them their jurisdiction is not recognized and provide them a safe armed escort to their nearest bus stop.

Wouldn't it be ironic if this is what it would take to deploy the military to the border, only to have them ordered to keep it wide open? How do you think commanding officers and the enlisted would feel being ordered to force their nations border wide open and hold it?? I would say that is exactly what would send some of them over the edge and initiate an early change of power.

Countdown??

I agree 100%, it’s time to stand up and say enough is enough. Democrats have gone rogue and republicans have apparently misplaced their balls.

But the Federal Government is removing something to allow their own laws to be broken. They are not protecting the sovereignty of the US. There is a immigration process and an EO is not it. That is the issue.

They are breaking a law to enforce a law. SCOTUS should have called them out and they did not.

Coming into America in ways that avoid the official ports-of-entry is now legal?

The constitution and federal law take precedence? The constitution says federal law doesn't override state law on this matter.
....

It did back in 2020 when Trump's Federal Government wanted to build a border wall and a group of local community governments on the California-Mexico border opposed it. The SCOTUS ruled that Trump could go ahead. Which he did, even though it was shown later that the wall did not stop illegal immigration or even slow it down, because it was easily cut through, climbed over, and tunneled under.

The SCOTUS is being consistent. They're not ruling on whether the Federal Government's actions at any particular time or place are wise or foolish. They're ruling that the Federal Government has the Constitutional authority to make those decisions and the States don't.

Walls have been effective for thousands of years.

And the bill of rights sets out states rights that are absolutely relevant to this topic. Especially considering it's ILLEGAL immigration. It's against TX state law and federal law. The feds insistence on simply letting them in is illegal and infuriating.

I bet if we outsourced even more jobs to the countries south of us everything will work itself out.
I mean atleast at that point there would be no reason to travel here because it would be just as sh1tty.
Just my 2 cents
