By the way, Hunter being held in contempt doesn't seem to be as imminent as you think. Comer adjourned the hearing without holding a vote.

Eric Swalwell probably brainstormed this stunt just like he was the prime motive behind Hunter's press conference on Capitol Hill the very day Hunter was supposed to appear for the original summons. Eric Swalwell is the one who needs to be arrested for contempt of Congress, as well as originally obstructing a congressional proceeding.

At the very least, he needs to be congressionally sanctioned.

Remind me again whose DOJ it was that enacted the rule that a Congressional subpoena related to an impeachment inquiry is only valid once a whole House vote is held authorizing the inquiry.

He missed his subpeona on 12/13. He had his press conference instead, remember.

The House Committees on Oversight and Accountability and Judiciary issued subpoenas to Hunter Biden for a deposition to be conducted on December 13, 2023.
