The family of Ashli Babbitt has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the federal government, seeking $30 million over her shooting death during the 2021 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
The lawsuit filed Friday in California federal court claims the 35-year-old Air Force veteran “posed no threat to the safety of anyone” when she was fatally shot while attempting to break into the speaker’s lobby during the assault involving supporters of then-President Donald Trump.

They need more money to scream about the deep state in a hippie beach neighborhood or something?
The guy in the clock tower was a veteran too, doesn't mean he wasn't batsh*t crazy.
Well, better grab some popcorn for Racist White Trash v. Capitol Police.

It's going to be hard for them to argue wrongful death when she was shot in the middle of comitting a violent crime.

We will see, her angry rant and putting everyone "on notice" the day before won't be helpful. Someone climbing through a broken window, intent on reaching the last barrier before huddling elected officials while wearing a backpack with who knows what in it, doesn't seem helpful to the case.
Some lawsuit was filed against Epps now too. Can't wait for the "I am such a sheep and unable to think on my own, so when a guy told me to go into the Capitol Building, I did. It is his fault, I committed a crime and attacked a police line, as I could not resist his words. " claim will go in court

How is it an MSM talking point? The fact is, I wouldn't attack a police line and break into the Capitol Building because some old guy wearing fatigues told me to. I mean seriously? I learned that at a young age when my parents asked "if your friends tell you to jump off a bridge will you?".

I think the new evidence against murderer Michael Byrd is what caused the suit to be filed now, instead of 1 or 2 years ago.
The two main pieces of evidence include an audio interview, with disguised voices, that the DC Police conducted with Byrd after the shooting and cell phone video from immediately after the shooting in which police officers failed to provide Babbitt prompt medical care.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said that Byrd’s “reckless decision” to shoot Babbitt without warning placed nearby officers and citizens “in harm’s way” and “right in the line of fire.”
Judicial Watch also received photos from inside the Capitol building after shooting, of Byrd, his hands, his gun, and of a utility knife that investigators said they found in Babbitt’s pocket.
In one interview, an officer claimed that before the shooting he “didn’t see anything in her hands.”
