But think about this, you go to the ER and they are giving you all sorts of tests and never tell you when you are going to be released till they release you. Some probably knew he was in there, but he probably assumed that those people would probably at least have informed the president...but they didn't. It was a mistake of judgement and also of proper communication. He may not have thought he was going to be as bad as he thought.

This....

And also, from what I've read, Austin went into the ER on Jan 1, a holiday, and was released on Jan 2. So, IDK, maybe we're hearing a lot of hyperbolic "what ifs" after the fact.

At seventy years old, recovery is a lot longer than it is when you are young. The doctors may have told him he would not be too burdened by it initially, but they still kept him in the hospital...and it may have turned out worse than they thought it was going to turn out too because of his age.

Maybe he thought he would be clear headed enough to do his job...but he was probably put on meds that clouded his judgement, he should have informed others and handed over the torch for a few days and just consulted with them to make sure he would be up on things when he returned. Many meds do cloud people's judgement, I suspect that could have added to his improper thinking on this. But also those meds would have made him less rational at handling his job too.

Could be a botched suicide attempt too. Since Biden took over, military suicides skyrocketed.

Source: www.uso.org...

All the wimp/woke/forced-vax mandates are a major strain on people who are trained to be tough and macho...particularly in the upper echelons.

And then Christmas 2023, Biden takes away the military perk of free storage of personal items (furniture, Fridge, Car, etc.) for deployed service members. (No wonder the SOB didn't visit any of them this past holiday season!)

It's so sad what they're enduring under this embarrassment who was cheated into the White House.

Lloyd Austin has a "pattern of being dishonest", says Congressman MATT ROSEDALE (R-MT).

Impeachment being considered: gettr.com...

So then He's not in the ICU any longer ?

Apparently not? IDK

But I have to make a correction.

Trump is the latest one to join the chorus of people calling on Austin to resign after he was admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center's intensive care unit on January 1.

New information on the Defense Secretary's covert hospital stay was made public by the Pentagon, last week. It described how, on December 22, Austin-who is ranked second in military command only to the Commander-in-Chief-went through medical treatment and returned home the following day.

So, Austin was only in the hospital for 1 day, when he went on Dec 22. He went again on Jan 1, this time to the ICU, and I don't how long he stayed.

Also, it wasn't that the Pentagon didn't know, it's that the Pentagon didn't inform anyone else.

At least some circles in the Pentagon were aware of Austin’s situation earlier. The chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, Gen Charles “CQ” Brown, learned of the hospitalisation on Tuesday 2 January, one US official said.

The Pentagon’s failure to disclose Austin’s hospitalisation for days, including to Biden, the National Security Council and top Pentagon leaders, reflects a stunning lack of transparency about his illness, how serious it was and when he may be released. Such secrecy, when the US is juggling myriad national security crises, runs counter to normal practice with regards to notifying the president and other senior US officials and cabinet members.

www.theguardian.com...

The bigger issue is if he transferred his duties to a subordinate...which as I understand requires notification to Congress. He is the 6th person in the line of succession.

What is the order of successors to the President?
The line of succession of cabinet officers is in the order of their agencies' creation.
Vice President.
Speaker of the House.
President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
Secretary of State.
Secretary of the Treasury.
Secretary of Defense.
Attorney General.
Secretary of the Interior.

The reality is that the optics of the situation look terrible...it looks like no one in the Biden admin knew about his absence and are attempting to cover up or deflect that. Has this happened during the Trump administration, it would be 24/7 non-stop news...

I ran into a bit chute video that claims Russian reports Austin went to meet an Ukraine General in Kyev to plan the next offensive push supported by the U.K. and the U.S. that would topple Russia.
Russia found the underground base from Intel sources and fired 11 missiles toppling surrounding blogs and caving in all the tunnel entrances killing both Austin and the Ukraine General.
The Biden administration is trying to start WW3.
F-16's just arrived in Ukraine.

I think most of the incompetents in Biden's admin could go AWOL and it wouldn't make much of a difference. Ideological idiocy doesn't need active management.

Cheers

Removal of the prostate is normally without complications. Maybe Austin let the disease become too advanced.

GOP needs to return their focus to Biden Impeachment and getting Menendez ejected.

Doesn't matter what he was diagnosed with.
Austin was AWOL...and endangered the security of the American people.

FIRE his ass! (No pun intended).

Think like a democrat for a second (just hit yourself in the head with a rock a few times)

Biden will not fire a black man during an election year.

Thinking like a democrat, I believe Joe COULD fire a black man IF Austin was replaced by a Hamas-supporting, transgender, illegal of color.

Win-Win!

Removing a prostate from someone who has their head up their ass can be difficult surgery

Odd response to a Prostate cancer Diagnosis .

It's a common enough cancer in men and typically easily handled , Again I ask whats with all the secrecy.

None the less My Prayers are with him and his family.

2.1.2024

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin just gave a briefing.

He says he did not try to hide his days of hospitalization from President Biden.

Apparently Joe Biden is so aloof, he did not know his Secretary of defense was missing from the meetings.

Worst president ever!
