No. Whoever is in charge of determining whether or not someone is eligible to be on a ballot is he only person that makes that decision. And then when they've made their decision deeming someone ineligible to appear on the ballot, the potential candidate can appeal that decision through the court system.

You know, due process.

Congress has already ruled on this matter. Don't forget that during Trump's second impeachment the reason the Senate gave for not convicting him is because of the fact that Trump was no longer President it should be up to the states to decide.

I saw a video on this the other day and you're all wrong. The US constitution states that any US citizen can stand and nobody has any rights to stop them. You're all quoting statutes and laws but all of them (including the supreme court) are made by and controlled by government, so therefore whichever party is in power they can change a law to ban just who the want. It is illegal. It's against the basic constitution. All and every candidate MUST be voted on by the people not any statute/law.

The Constitution was literally written with a clause that limits who can be President. Last time I checked, the 14th Amendment is also part of the Constitution.

Where is her legal authority other than just mouthing the words? In either case, there is no substance other than her just saying. So, would you agree if the SC reverses it then she should be removed from office for abuse of power? People who work for the government hold substantial authority due to their position, but this authority is not unlimited.

By the same standards used by the Maine sos...it could be argued that government officials personally posting bail and paying for the defense of BLM/ANTIFA 'mostly peaceful' arsonists and rioters...is ALSO encouraging felonies.

for those of you who are arguing FOR the removal of a leading candidate for president from a state ballot, I really want to hear from you on where this ends? Where does the BAMN tactics stop? When Trump is no longer alive? He's old, he's going to die in 20 years or less. What then? Does everything just go back to normal and those who were or at least feel as of they were wronged by this forget?

Does the left who craves power and more power stop that, and just become satisfied to succumb to the will of the people again?

I'm sure the legal arguments can be made, and any facts you wish to stretch can be mailable, but for the human aspect of this, the integrity and fairness aspect, will that just go back to pre-clown world times?

Except when accused w evidence of attempting a coup, an overthrow, an interruption of government....by government itself....

Our Constitution holds firm for every American, guaranteeing honors and rights, and assuring no 1 American is ever treated differently no matter who.

The Constitution works my friends. A bit ruffled these days...but strong never the less.

Can the sos of red states now unilaterally also decide to keep Joe Biden off their state ballot because THEY have personally concluded that Joe was involved in taking foreign money through Hunter's shell companies...even though Joe has yet to be charged or convicted of the crimes?

Amendment XIV
Section 1.

Also the fifth amendment:

Nobody is depriving Donald Trump of "life, liberty, or property", in his constitutional disqualification to hold office again.

Also, due process has not been denied Trump. None of these cases, asking to remove Trump from the ballot are criminal cases. However, his criminal cases are winding through the courts right now. Right now, the courts are deciding whether or not Trump's defense of absolute immunity holds water, something that SCOTUS will ultimately have to decide.

So, would you agree if the SC reverses it then she should be removed from office for abuse of power?

Should Trump be barred from office for the numerous times his EO's were struck down by SCOTUS?
