The 2020 election never should have been certified given there was more than enough evidence to election tampering. Mike Pence is the one who should be charged-for treason and showing the world what a RINO he is.

Funny how Griswold had swallowed her hate enough to accept she may be the one charged for trying to usurp the law.

Trump's legal team argued that the President is not an officer. The CO Supreme Court disagreed.

Seems to me --Commander in Chief of all armed forces of the United States -- would be an officer of the United States.

Seems to me that you would be wrong.

Fourth time asking:

Do you understand that no president can be criminally charged for actions in office unless there is a corresponding legislative process first?

What does that have to do with being an Officer of the United States -- as Commander in Chief of all armed forces of the United States?

And let's be clear -- this has NOT been ruled on either way by SCOTUS.

The President shall commission all officers of the United States.

Link.

So by your own logic, the POTUS commissions....himself?

You are confusing opinion and talk with a plea bargain.

Show me where, in US Code, or state law, where one's own words are considered hearsay, and can't be used against you, unless intent has been [previously?] proven.

Pence led the insurrection. Milley helped as well as Pelosi. They should all be charged with Treason for what occurred on 1/6.

Can someone tell me who the POTUS is subordinate to please?

If we can answer that, perhaps we can entertain further arguments or begin to have an intelligent discussion.

I can tell you who the president isn't subordinate to: The Judicial branch.

The President is only subordinate to the legislative branch. Only they have the power to reign in presidents through impeachment and conviction by the senate.

Or the legislative branch in one sense.

Yet in another sense, the POTUS is subordinate to "we the people" who would be made up of our representatives.

Thus the impeachment process exists.

I don't know why some folks are jumping through hoops and performing the most fascinating of mental gymnastics in order to make this argument appear to make sense on its face.

FAIL! Lame YouTube video for 8th graders.

Being considered innocent is not a protected right, bestowed by the 5th Amendment.

The 5th Amendment says the government can't punish you without due process. It doesn't say "innocent until proven guilty".

When a person is arrested, they're arrested because someone has presumed them guilty. They get booked, fingerprinted and arraigned because they are presumed guilty. They pay bail because they are presumed guilty. They are held without bail because they are presumed guilty.

They're guaranteed the right to not incriminate themselves, to legal counsel, the right to face and question their accusers, to be tried by a group of their peers. But, while the Constitution guarantees a speedy trial, it doesn't even guarantee a fair trial.

Wrong again

When a person is arrested, they're arrested because someone has suspected them of being guilty of crimes. Not presumed.

Fist you say:

FAIL! Lame YouTube video for 8th graders.

Then you say:

Being considered innocent is not a protected right, bestowed by the 5th Amendment.

Perhaps you need a 6th grade video to aid you then?

Amendment V
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

If one isn't presumed innocent, they why would a quorum be needed to reach a probable cause determination to go forward with charging someone?

The longer you hang around here, the more I realize you are regressing in intelligence and critical thinking when it comes to Trump.
