If you are caught plagiarizing, just go back and offer a citation. It's no longer a crime

Every college for decades now have plagiarism checkers, like an online app.

The problem with that though is that even if you do any writing totally original in your own words, 7 out of ten it will be something someone else already wrote that is in the academic record.

It is very difficult to write anything that hasn't already been written no matter how carefully you choose the wording.

Happened to me once wrote an original essay in college, but didn't think it needed to be "plagiarism checked" because I did it myself... LOL big mistake, they replied I was in violation of policy for copying other people's work haha..

And they will not believe a student's word saying they did not copy anyone. The only verdict is GUILTY..

A Harvard Dean should not be this stupid to ever submit anything that hasn't been compared to that gigantic database of garbage that someone else already wrote before. You almost have to invent new words to get anything past a plagiarism checker.

In other words, there is no excuse, because they won't accept ANY excuse when it is a student telling them they didn't knowingly plagiarise someone else's work.

If this is allowed to stand, then every case where anyone was sued for plagiarism should be reversed and thrown out. As long as the guilty person is willing to use proper citations.

I wonder if the school allows students to go back and correct their papers if they are ever cited for this infringement?

They elected Biden who was the plagiarizing king in written and speech.
