Gaza and now Lebanon are under assault.

"Two-month-old Palestinian boy dies of hunger amid Israel’s war on Gaza
A two-month-old Palestinian boy has died from starvation in northern Gaza, according to media reports, days after the United Nations warned of an
“explosion” in child deaths due to Israel’s war on the besieged enclave.
The Shehab news agency said Mahmoud Fattouh died at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City on Friday.

"US again vetoes Gaza cease-fire resolution at UN Security Council
The United States was the lone veto against a U.N. Security Council resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza on Tuesday, marking the third time
Washington has opposed such a measure.
The vote on the resolution drafted by Algeria was 13-1, with the U.K. abstaining, on the 15-member council. The veto puts the U.S. increasingly out of
step on the world stage as it faces criticism for its support for Israel in the campaign against Hamas in Gaza, launched after the militant group’s
deadly Oct. 7. assault that killed some 1,200 people. It also came a day after Washington floated its own rival resolution, calling for a temporary
cease-fire."

"Relatives in Lebanon mourn victims of Israeli strikes, including a 5-year-old girl
Israel and the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon have exchanged attacks since the start of the war in Gaza in October, while keeping the fighting somewhat
contained to areas near the countries' shared border. A stretch of about 3 miles of borderland has become a war zone, pushing more than 87,000
residents to flee their homes in southern Lebanon, according to the country's Public Health Ministry.
The fighting has also affected Israeli communities across the border, leading many residents to evacuate there as well. The conflict has left homes
and civilian infrastructure destroyed on both sides."

"Israel Not Complying with World Court Order in Genocide Case
The Israeli government has failed to comply with at least one measure in the legally binding order from the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in
South Africa’s genocide case, Human Rights Watch said today. Citing warnings about “catastrophic conditions” in Gaza, the court ordered Israel
on January 26, 2024, to “take immediate and effective measures to enable the provision of urgently needed basic services and humanitarian aid,”
and to report back on its compliance to the specific measures “within one month.”
One month later, however, Israel continues to obstruct the provision of basic services and the entry and distribution within Gaza of fuel and
lifesaving aid, acts of collective punishment that amount to war crimes and include the use of starvation of civilians as a weapon of war. Fewer
trucks have entered Gaza and fewer aid missions have been permitted to reach northern Gaza in the several weeks since the ruling than in the weeks
preceding it, according to United Nations Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)."

"Gaza children searching for food to keep families alive
In certain places at certain times, just staying alive is something for a boy to be proud of - let alone going out every day to find the food that
keeps your family from starving.
Every morning, Mohammed Zo'rab, 11, goes out into the southern Gaza city of Rafah on a mission.
He takes a big plastic bowl and heads to schools that have become refugee centres, and to makeshift camps on the roadside where people suffer like his
own family but might still find something to feed the child of strangers."
