Putin hopes for 'more constructive' US president

Looks like Russia is hoping for a new US President in 2024. One that, according to them, is 'more careful with Russia and takes into account it's concerns'. The Kremlin didn't say who they wanted to be POTUS. They just whined that the US isn't listening to Russia's 'concerns'. I would imagine those concerns are that we are funding the Ukraine in their self defense against the Russian invasion.

Looking at the Republican field, Nicki Haley proudly declared herself to be a 'globalist'. So I guess she would make Putin happier than Biden who is continuing to fund the Ukraine and not take into account 'Russias concerns'.

A spokesperson for the Kremlin says President Vladimir Putin hopes that the next U.S. leader will be "more constructive."

Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, speaking with NBC News on Friday, said that the White House must understand the "importance of the dialogue."

Peskov claimed that Putin is willing to work with "anyone who will understand that from now on, you have to be more careful with Russia and you have to take into account its concerns," Peskov said.

I was starting to think she was okay but then she proudly proclaimed herself a 'globalist'. So now I'm very leary of her.

As the election will be fixed for him to win yet again, that's understandable.

Putin seems to 'be off' Biden. He's already talking about the next POTUS
and what he wants from him or her.

It doesn't make sense since Trump praised him and he knows Trump will give him Ukraine if he is elected.

That would be Trump. He's already said he has a plan to end the war in one day. That would basically give Putin all the territory he's already seized. Are you really that slow on the uptake?

Hah, Putin HATES Biden and how he locked him in and prevented him for carrying out his plans in Ukraine. And has placed numerous sanctions, on him, his crony oligarchs, helped locate and take their yachts all over the world; has pulled NATO back together and strengthened it.

He's pushing Europe to expedite accession for Ukraine and Europe just agreed to start the accession talks, just two days ago.

He'll take anyone but Biden, he thinks it will get easier for him.

Here's what we want -- a stable and prosperous Russia, the people to choose their own leader and not be thrown off buildings or poisoned. If we had a solid, equal and democratic partner in Russia, the world as a whole would be a better place.

He is saying Trump, if you read between the lines. He thinks Trump was much more 'constructive' for him and for Russia, because he was deferential and submissive to Putin. Putin would love this again, he thinks that would help his occupations and other future plans. He thinks Trump would just stay away and let him do whatever.

note: I understand you get this, I'm writing it anyway.

Yeah, I must have missed it too. I remember a lot of talk about Trump supposedly luv'n on Putin when Trump was running for office the first time. But I haven't seen anything that shows Trump gave Putin favoritism. I remember a quote from Trump when he was running saying that he wished Putin was an American because he was so 'patriotic' about his homeland of Russia. But I dismissed it as another Trumpism. He bloviates a lot.
