Zionism.

Zi·on·ism
[ˈzīəˌnizəm]
NOUN
a movement for (originally) the re-establishment and (now) the development and protection of a Jewish nation in what is now Israel. It was established as a political organization in 1897 under Theodor Herzl, and was later led by Chaim Weizmann.

Antisemitism

Antisemitism - Wikipedia

Religious antisemitism, also known as anti-Judaism, is antipathy towards Jews because of their perceived religious beliefs. In theory, antisemitism and attacks against individual Jews would stop if Jews stopped practicing Judaism or changed their public faith, especially by conversion to the official or right … See more

Genocide

gen·o·cide
[ˈjenəˌsīd]
NOUN
the deliberate killing or severe mistreatment of a large number of people from a particular national or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group:

Those USED to be the definitions of the bolded terms above. But since the war started by the palestinians, those definitions have changed. They've changed here, on social media, even college presidents are qualifying genocide now.

The only connection?

They give allowance to attack Jews, here in the US and abroad. They give allowance to insult, degrade, debase Jews.

You can't change definitions, say things "contextually", to allow the attack of Jews and Israel.

The college presidents were an embarrassment to America, in my humble opinion.

And I'm ashamed to be on a site that calls hamas, "freedom fighters", or "militant".

I'm just a tired old man, nearing retirement. I can't do much of anything anymore. But I will stand up for what it right.

I think more people should.

Orwell proven right again.

Here is an article and video regarding the gymnastics in front of Congress performed by university presidents.

It’s on the Olympic level.

They were both disgusting and frightening in their stupidity and obvious lack of caring that their policies could easily bring about the deaths of Jewish students. Freak'n Nazis.

If it were black students being chased and threatened and harassed ... and people were calling for their deaths ... I"m sure their responses would have been very different. But it's okay because it's Jewish students and not blacks.

Yeah, they have to actually change definitions so it's socially acceptable to hate on Jews and wish their deaths.

Honestly, I blame about everybody, the media, the public at large and high-class "influencers" that should be silent if nothing else. Is THIS where we are at? My god, make up signs quick to read "ALIENS GO HOME." Or another style that says "NUKE US IF YOU MUST!"

Add to that guidance counselors, teachers, publisher and editors, journalists, Cardinals and clergy.
And all in positions of influence who are dragging us closer and closer to the abyss of darkness and evil.

Last I checked our emotional states are not governed by law and the 1st amendment protects the right to insult, degrade or debase anyone and everyone. Most of our best comedy is based on that but some like the UK government will hunt down and punish those perceived to have debased, degraded or insulted someone so long as they're Caucasian. Minorities are exempted from such speech laws.

I agree.

Free speech is free speech until it infringes on the rights of another individual.

And 'lefties' or 'democrats' dare call conservatives/'right-wing' extremist Nazis.
Yet , they still don't see the stupid level of irony in this.
Many , or should I say most, don't even know the KKK orginated from the democratic party.

Notice the abscence of the usual 'leftie' commenters to this OP post.
Wonder why?

The statement “I hate Jews” is in the realm of free speech as it is only opinion, although rightly repulsive to many people.

The statement “I want to kill or harm Jews” definitely is not. It suggests an action, not an opinion.

Their murderous statements are shrouded by false riotousness and usually involve the false premise that they are protecting others or some virtuous ideal.

Free speech needs protecting for the very reason that it may be offensive to others.

Threatening speech needs to be dealt with for the very fact that it can be harmful to others.

Agreed.

The college presidents in question tried to nuance the genocide of all Jews and tried to place it in a contextual manner.

It's like saying, lets kill all blacks, but please, put it in context.

Let's add another word...

Pogrom, (Russian: “devastation,” or “riot”), a mob attack, either approved or condoned by authorities, against the persons and property of a religious, racial, or national minority. The term is usually applied to attacks on Jews in the Russian Empire in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Britannica Linky

From said link...

The Russian central government did not organize pogroms, as was widely believed; but the anti-Semitic policy that it carried out from 1881 to 1917 made them possible. Official persecution and harassment of Jews led the numerous anti-Semites to believe that their violence was legitimate, and their belief was strengthened by the active participation of a few high and many minor officials in fomenting attacks and by the reluctance of the government either to stop pogroms or to punish those responsible for them.

Bolding mine.

Progressives (you and I used to call them Communists) have always changed the definition of words to achieve an end.

Linky to a friend's thoughts

For a stable society to exist, there must be a common language, with commonly accepted and understood words. Such stability undermines the foundation of the progressive Democrats because without conflict or turmoil, they cannot advance their drive to a socialist society. As long as we continue to allow the progressive left to redefine words to socially divide us, our words will be meaningless and our trust and respect for each other will be questionable.

I was gonna point out the use of wiki, but the immediate firestorm about “defending hatred against Jews” would be incessant…

Semite has a certain definition. I do like words.

Speaking of definitions why didn’t you include Webster’s or something for contrast?

Here in the US a long time ago we changed the Department of War to Defense. Makes it easier to bomb brown people throughout the 20th century for democracy’s sake.

No correlation to this thread.

Edit: for the record I still consider myself as Classic Liberal. But times and definitions change?
