Thanks for reading.

If you did not notice this has already happened, and this is just reporting on what already happened. Nothing to argue, no positions to take. This already transpired. It's a part of history. Sadly.

Now we're all trying to figure out how they tried to do it, so it can't ever happen again.

Which time precisely?

Also, your version, or rather the regurgitated version, of what "happened" is full of presumptions, factual innacuracies and made up propaganda.

Ultimately, Pence told investigators he briefly accepted that he'd skip the certification on January 6 altogether. That is, until he spoke with his Marine son whilst vacationing in Colorado. ABC News said that during the trip, Lt. Michael J. Pence told his father, "You took the same oath I took." The two of them, the younger Pence said, shared a commitment: "An oath to support and defend the Constitution." That, based on what Pence told investigators, is the moment the vice president changed his mind and decided to attend the certification vote after all.

How heart warming and Naive. Yet it is an excellent talking point for Mike Pence.

What the young Marine Lt. Pence may not realize is that some Oaths transcend others in terms of Importance with men Like Mike Pence.

I've taken a few oaths in my life but to this day one Oath rises above all others.

I assure you any oath that Mike Pence took to defend the Constitution takes a back seat to his other Sworn Oaths .

Yeah, sure. Live under a rock all you want. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

I'm looking forward to all the facts coming out, and also to hearing quite a bit more about all of this at his trial in March. Deny it all you want, a trial is coming up.

And facts about what they tried to do will just keep coming out as well.

Stay tuned.

I always state that I've taken two oaths in my life.

One to love and honor and cherish my wife, the other to protect and defend the Constitution.

You're not the only one, brother.

This whole OP is about people who uphold their oaths. Against the odds.

I think I've demonstrated a greater knowledge on this matter than yourself. There's a reason you find me in your threads.....

Yes, we are all well aware of the election interference happening in real time. Much like the ongoing court cases surrounding the 2020 elections of fascist (that word seems important to you) state executive branches violating their own voting laws.

And facts about what they tried to do will just keep coming out as well.

I said something to you once, and it bears repeating here.

You've already come to a conclusion and are desperate, to the point of relying on Pence and a pair of Cheneys, to find points to back up that conclusion.

Logic works in the direct opposite of this. That being facts leading to the truth or a conclusion.....

Politicians look at oaths like a pair of socks, or worse, a tampon.

Something to use once, then throw away.

And I'll toss you a bone, it's for republican and democrats.

Also, if the vice president as president of the senate is required to certify the vote comma does that ultimately mean that the executive branch has the powers to certify the vote? If so, would the legislative branch be required for confirming the Authenticity of the vote?

The fact that some state senates felt the need to select alternate Electors , Would mean that the authenticity of the electoral college vote might be in question. Did Mike Pence Commit treason?

1) When the Vice President is acting as President of the Senate he/she is acting as a member of the Legislative Branch, not the Executive Branch, so the answer to your first question is no. The founders were very careful to give no role to the Executive Branch in Presidential elections for the obvious reason that if a sitting President was allowed to diddle around with the process he/she could probably manage to make himself/herself el Presidente for Life, as Trump tried to do. The only role for the President is the one specified in Article II that he/she "take care that the laws be faithfully executed". In other words, play by the rules. Which Trump has never been able to do his entire life.

2) No, Mike Pence did not commit treason. The Constitution does not give state Senates the authority to appoint alternate slates of electors, regardless of how strongly they don't like the outcome of the election; it gives that authority to the states' legislatures. The term "legislature" means that both houses of a state, including all the members of both houses from both parties have to approve the slate of electors. Which they had all done by Dec. 3, 2020. After that point in time, the Electoral College vote was not "in question" except in Trump's fantasies.

I agree. All politicians are liars, they don't get to that high position of power by being nice or being honest. If they appear that way, 99% of the time it's fake.

I'm waiting for a time when we all go back to thinking like this, like you and me. No politician is to be trusted. Especially not idolized or made a cult icon. That's just #ing wrong. And naive, to boot.

No exceptions. Or we're back to square one.

There are very few politicians I could name that are honest. Ok, there's one. I've never cast a vote for him, but I think Bernie Sanders is an example of a consistent politician who hasn't been caught lying, as far as I know.

I can't name another honest politician, and some may not even agree with me on Bernie.

Can anyone name a single honest politician?

Trump's plans of illegal electors and votes.

Nice try. That's not a thing though.

Perhaps you're searching for the term "alternate electors?"

No, the term is illegal electors.

The Constitution specifies that a state's slate of electors is decided by the state's legislature and certified by the state's executive official (usually the Governor) by a Certificate of Ascertainment. As I've pointed out before, the term "legislature" includes ALL the duly elected officials of both houses of the state, from both parties. They all have to collectively determine who the slate of electors is going to be by whatever internal rules they have adopted. The wannabe "alternate electors" in 2020 were just a random group of RWNJs who Trump's co-conspirators (like Rudy Guiliani and John Eastman) managed to convince to forge a fake Certificate of Ascertainment. They did not act on behalf of their state's legislatures or Governor; they just decided to go into the election business for themselves. The forgery is the illegal part and what some of them have been indicted for.

No, the term is illegal electors.

False. They are alternate electors like with Nixon in 1960......

They are not illegal if they are not signed off by the Governor. In which case, non of the states complaining were.

You even said it yourself:

certified by the state's executive official (usually the Governor)

Nice try though.

The tips of my feelz are all a tingling.
Mike Pence, the new Leftist hero….who’d a thunk it?

Man you sure do bring up feelings a bunch.
And Pence is no hero by any stretch of the imagination. He just happened to do his job at the last minute. That action deserves praise considering what he was about to do.
You go ahead and support a pedo and Creep and all that stuff.
Seems very fitting for some people to idolize Trump and his Creep team.

come on man, Trump was doing the same thing.

So either both are wrong, or both are right. Either way, it is hypocritical.

Because that’s all you guys have to defend your Leftist positions on current topics going back 7 or 8 years.

Everyone in the Left got their panties in a bunch when Trump said “Grab them by the pussy” but staunchly defend biological men masquerading as women, while they parade their Johnsons in women’s locker rooms.

It’s pretty twisted, but as I said……it’s all about Liberal feelings.

An insurrection and coup d'etat was foiled because one man decided not to call in sick because his son took some oath?

Is this really how liberals view the world; or do they just think the rest of us are stupid enough to believe such a silly story.... common be more creative next time.
