Adding to the sense of uncertainty, the General Services Administration held off on formally beginning the transition, preventing Biden’s teams from gaining access to federal agencies. An agency spokesperson said late Monday that an “ascertainment” on the winner of the election had not yet been made. Citing what the agency did during the extended 2000 electoral recount, it signaled that it may not do so until Trump concedes or the Electoral College meets next month.

speaking of nothing burgers, here are two questions for you.
question 1:
What date was Joe Biden supposed to be sworn in as the 46th president?
Question 2:
What date did Joe Biden ACTUALLY swear in and move into the white house?

Actually, if you take the time to read some of your posts, you find gems like this....

Looks like the GSA, not Trump, did not start the transition process but the winner was not yet declared. Hmm.....
Also, you cannot have an insurrection against yourself. Trump was the sitting President on 1/6.
The vote to approve the electoral college was postponed a few hours. Nothing was stopped. It all moved forward.

that's odd. And you claimed Trump was going to lock himself in the oval office crapper and never come out. Sounds like you are full of what goes in the crapper.

Ted Cruz was speaking to convince the proceedings to follow an historical precedent to take a 10 day tiger team into looking into the accusations of election problems.
This 10 days could have gone a long way to clearing up the controversy and convincing the American public what went on.
As it was, the riot broke out, and nobody ever brought up the 10-day Congressional tiger team approach again, and anyone wanting to look into the problems was shouted down and labelled an 'election denier'.
So yes, team Donkey had a reason to start a false flag insurrection.

Where does the Constitution state that the losers can take 10 days to investigate the elections run by the states?
The accusations of cheating were already looked into, over 60 court cases, with no evidence of cheating.

You must be pretty young not to remember Democrat Al Gore holding up the 2000 election for over a month.
And all the Democrat election deniers crying.
And you would have to be stupid not to see all the irregularities in the 2020 election.

Gore won the popular vote but Bush won the electoral college vote, and therefore the Presidency.
Gore contested the vote in Florida, due to the 'hanging chads' issue of the voting cards used in the now defunct 'voting machines'.
Gore finally conceded defeat to Bush on 13 Dec 2001, 35 days after election day (November 7, 2000) and 5 days after the 'December 8' statutory 'safe harbor' limitation date on legal challenges to the vote.
In comparison, Trump finally conceded defeat to Biden on 7 January 2021, 65 days after election day (November 3rd, 2020), and 30 days after the 'December 8' statutory 'safe harbor' limitation date on legal challenges to the vote.
