Not according to proud Maga MTG,Gaetz and right wing news hosts. They say he is a proud good Patriot and should have no jail time for violently assaulting officers.
and be released.
This is what has been so funny. It's antifa! No it's feds! It's the cops, an inside job as they aren't being forceful with the crowd, wait, no the cops are too violent in the rotunda! The cops started it! Wait, it's feds again, video shows a guy flashing a badge!(It's a vape, the guy is serving 4 years for attacking a cop to get in there). No wait, that guy is peacefully walking!(This guy charged with pepper spraying police to get in there). Social media has been a hoot! Well, if it wasn't so sad.
That is literally excuses I read in an hours worth of time. Now they've moved on to "charge the cop who pushed a protester off the ledge with attempted murder! (As the guy climbed the ledge to attack the police line).
Just pick an excuse and stick with it. Literally changing it every 20 minutes. Gotta be dizzy from all that spinning going on today.

Ah, yes, this is the new talking point. I just read this morning by RW pundits, "ok, yes there was violence, but why aren't we pointing out that the cops started it and were extremely violent". "Patriots were victims!"
Ohhh boy this is a good one. We should all visit threads here from 2020. Martin Gugino, 75 walked up to a cop in Buffalo during a BLM protest, was violently shoved, busted his head open, hospitalized for weeks, a military veteran with his arms up in Portland, had his arm broken, journalists and priests pepperballed in Lafayette Square. ATS screeched that it was the individuals fault. "Shouldn't have been there", "should have just complied", "other people were violent, so the cops did what they had to do!" "Back the blue!" And none of these incidents were at the fortified Capitol while the electoral process was taking place. And none of those people in turn attacked the police, tased officers, beat them with flag poles, etc.
Did y'all keep that energy? Nope. Now it's ACAB as the last excuse since the other excuses have failed badly. You really can't make this up.
This weekend alone there have been at least 5 different excuses that have failed badly to try to justify what happened. The ats motto appears to have changed from "Deny ignorance" to "Throw everything at the wall to see what sticks" or "Join in the hypocrisy".
And none of those people in turn attacked the police, tased officers, beat them with flag poles, etc.

Interesting. Some "insurrectionists" got incarcerated indefinitely while others get a fist bump?

Why do you think it's bizarre? Current and former LEO and military were some of the people who attacked cops at the Capitol and were charged. 35 Capitol cops were investigated and suspended/ fired for their actions that day. 1 was charged and found guilty of obstruction after he told a J6 defendent to get rid of evidence. There's a list of LEO throughout the country who are also members of White Supremacist groups. Not hard to believe there were Maga sympathetic cops.
