Another fail.
She was not a Police officer, she was a civilian employee.
To try to use this to smear our Police to further your anti Israel propaganda in other threads is, frankly, a new low.
Disgusting.
Corrupt police officer who illegally accessed sensitive information to tip off criminal friend is jailed for three years

Naaah I don't think so....
Take a look at the dailymail. They're not left wing by the way. So
hardly surprising he got it wrong as in his linked in he is no crime correspondent
he was correct in the article though calling her a police worker.
The amount of excuses...
Not a police officer but a police employee or a police worker....

It's still wrong, she was a civilian employee, NOT a police officer with a warrant card.
Massive massive difference, and my point stands, this story is a good example of a British police force weeding out criminals from it's organisation.
Background and personality checks are much more strict for actual police officers, but this auxiliary staff criminal was NOT a police constable with arrest powers.

I'm sorry to say but you've been caught by tabloid crap, she wasn't an active warrant card carrying Police Officer. She was a pencil pusher....

Please amend your thread. She was not a Police Officer as confirmed in what you quoted in your OP.
It's disengeuos and misleading, to put it politely.

Aaah I see!
So you say the Police doesn't have strict background and personality checks....

"Mottram, who started work at Cheshire Police in 2017 as an apprentice before being seconded to the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU), was jailed for three years and nine months at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday.
She had been working as an intelligence analyst at the ROCU when she was arrested by National Crime Agency (NCA) officers on June 12 2020.
Mottram was held as part of Operation Venetic - the NCA-led UK response to the takedown of the encrypted communications platform EncroChat, used by gangsters and serious criminals across Europe to avoid detection"
From your source, the Daily Mail.
Just give it up.
She was not a Police Officer.
By the way, she was investigated, arrested by our Police and successfully prosecuted.
So, evidence of our Police's independence and professionalism. No?

Nope, I'm saying that the background and personality checks for 'actual cops' are stringent, because they have powers of arrest etc.
The checks on auxiliary support staff in the police force, are not as stringent as those for constables (cops).
This story is an example of good housekeeping by the police force concerned, certainly NOT a story to support claims of systemic corruption in UK police.
