Second death is rebirth again in the lake of fire as the soul is again entrapped in another mind-body.

The second death is a spiritual death of sorts. Fallen angels are also cast into the Lake of Fire and they don't have "bodies" like we do. So, no, it is not a rebirth.

Christianity is easier.

Finally, another thing to laugh about.
Remember that video you posted?
150 is the max for social groupings. Back in the day I had the Handbook of Denominations in the United States, the current edition has 200 listed. Even in the 80s it had over 150.

So my capacity of association was maxed out. So when I look at Hindu and Buddhist schools of thought it's like "Sorry no room in the Inn". That explains why it is such a struggle for me to understand the Eastern Religions.

This one time in the 90s a co-worker was like "I bet you can't guess which denomination I belong to. It's very small."

So I thought about it and said "Wisconsin Synod."

And she was all "What? How did you do that? Yes."

She did give a couple of other hints though besides small.

=======
When it comes to the cycle of rebirth, I just don't think that is really a thing. Like somebody just made that up and it got stuck as canon so long ago that it would be blasphemy to doubt it.

Even Yoga has various branches or schools.
I know a guy who is a certified Ananda Yoga instructor.

Ananda is a branch of Hatha which is a branch of Raja.

I am very not-limber. Can't touch my toes. Never could.

Even in the 7th grade, back when corporal punishment was still a thing.

Vice Principal was "Bend over and grab your ankles. ... Your ankles, not your shins."

I was like, "That's as far as I bend."

"Non-sense" he said, "Don't you touch your toes in PE?"

"Nope."

"Well, just do the best you can then."

WHAM! Those swats from the big paddle really hurt.

The joke must be on you

That goes without saying.

because that didn't make any sense.

I should have spent more time on the OP. It's just that I was reading some Buddhism material and it struck me as ironic. And I wanted to beat the rush, like post it before somebody else did.

When everyone starts looking alike one should realize the bardo light of green and meditate on the heart to ford the 'river' out of the animals or people possessed by such as a lower 'self' that are in a constant race in the ten directions of it.

The doing so one goes to humanity that blue bardo the Vishnu being the avatar of; Is the just sit there, stand there or lay there fearless that one day you may understand that... in not knowing. Hence the vussudha as a chakra...

Problem then is the abijina or near constant abuse of powers commands etc all sort of rote learners without any real wisdom etc or what get called once returners.from such a place the fearless then is a very very small light so bright people run from it but it is the dhamata or true self in the ajna or what some call the seat of the 'soul' bad terminology the wisdom there is do not place yourself under foot those are the never returners. Also where Buddhagosa has the lament and Zen says nirvana and samsara are the same thing.

That tradition should pass the koan at that point if it can to those of: emptiness is form; form is none other than emptiness as the mara demon and oneself cannot be distinguished or told apart from the thing known as people and experience in time and such is where you say Asians are stuck and where 'westerners' want to get too.

Attachment to westerner as a tern... Why did bodhi dharma come from the north? is a good koan.

Do you have any personal experience of that which you know so much about?

You are very knowledgeable.

I am more like the fool, less concerned with schools of thought.

Looking like a crash course in Pali and Sanskrit now.

Having looked up some terms in Wikipedia, I should revise some things.
Based on this page Four_stages_of_awakening,

I would have to say that Christians and Muslims are mostly looking for non-returner outcome."non-returners are reborn in one of the five special worlds in Rūpadhātu called the Śuddhāvāsa worlds, or "Pure Abodes", and there attain Nirvāṇa; "

And come to think of it, that's probably what the majority of Buddhists are expecting too.

================
The Western pre-Christian traditions of philosophy offered plenty of life affirmation for the living and finality upon death. Is that too much to expect?

I've been thinking: I ate with the Ananda people once. They were nice regular people who seemed happy to be alive; not different from Unitarian Universalists or other people. But it's sort of wrapped up in the person Kriyananda who died in 2013. I wonder what happens to them after their teacher died.

What if the Buddha guy was actually full of himself? How else is he looked at as so great as to be followed in perpetuity unless he was full of himself?

If he had been all empty of everything then wouldn't he have just died as an insignificant, unknown by all?

What if Buddhism is a fraud?

It believes in resurrection to a heavenly incorruptible body..

Who get's "resurrected"? The soul, right? What is an incorruptible body? Something, very cool, and better than the human body, in which the soul resides.

That's reincarnation, no matter how you spell it.

I was thinking about the pina coladas.
There won't be any. Coconuts are a seed.
No seeds needed in a World with no death.
No reproduction.
No alcohol where there is no corruption.
No seed bearing fruit or flowers.

What would incorruptible beings be like?
No thumbs for building.
No big brains for scheming or planning.
A most basic of nervous system.
No teeth for eating non-existing fruit.
Just a tube like structure to suck the purest of nectar
which leave no waste products.
No poop. No pee.

Like this but with no flowers
only structures which appear upon need
when nectar is needed.

But then what if they wanted the nectar structures to be flower like for the pure aesthetic?
The beauty for sight
The smell
and even the sweetness of the pure energy providing nectar,
as the air caresses their wings.

Oh sensuality! You wonderful thing!
No nirvana for them.
But blessed none the less.

It's like that machine they had on StarTek, that would make any recipe one could dream, from the molecules that exist in thin air/nothing!

Spirit really is all about what one can manifest from a dream, out of thin air/nothing. Like a God!

Spirit is not mortal, it was never born, it can never die. Jesus when speaking from the spirit said "Before Abraham was, I am". In Ecclesiastes 3:11 it states "He has also set eternity in the hearts of humans". When we die the first death we experience is that of our mind and body. The spirit is free from entrapment of that body and mind. However, if we need continue our journey in the lake of fire. We will be assigned a new body and mind. The soul will experience the second death (a slumber) when it is again entrapped in the new body and mind.

No, reincarnation is a belief of returning to this world in another human body. Resurrection does not return to this world or another human body.

That still doesn't change the fact that fallen angels will be cast into the Lake of Fire and are not offered redemption for turning against God.

No. There are lots of religions that attempt to tell you that reincarnation is regulated that way, but the spirit, like the wind, goes where it wills. It's free to reincarnate in a tree, a whale, a lion or even a star. It's also free to do none of that.

Why would a free will, intelligent, critical thinking and communicative spirit want to return as a non critical thinking, unintelligent tree stump, animal, or star?

Look, I didn't make up the fact that there are plenty of religions that believe animal totems are their deceased loved ones. I didn't make up European tree lore.

You are the one putting limitation on the spirit, when Jesus said:

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Buddha taught that MAYA is illusion, it is seductive, reasonable, comfortable and familiar.

Choose you poison,

I would agree with you that Christian and followers Islam generally are looking for the way into heaven at the end of this life, not understanding that they still have to fulfill all of the Law, which would mean they still have to balance “every jot and Tittle of the law before their final approach to the higher realms. Who knows how many incarnations it will take.
The Nephilim and the Watchers however are likely destined for a permanent residence in the Lake of Fire, if the Book of Revelation is to be believed.
Yes there are different branches and types of yoga… Hatha for discipline of the body, Bhakti for devotional service, karma for jbalancing the karma, Jnana for developing wisdom and the mind, Agni yoga or the yoga of the sacred fire, kundalini, Kriya yoga, and Pranayama the control of the breath, and Raja Yoga the King of Yogas.

Christians don't have to fulfill the law because Jesus did it for us. Christianity 101.
