The ones calling the shots aren't the ones dying. What do the leaders of either side have to lose? They're sitting pretty, it's the innocent people in Gaza and Israel who are dying, not them.

That is an excellent quote; it puts the current conflic in the correct frame. One does not need to support Israel's actions in order to condone the terrorist government that is Hamas. They are not mutually exclusive ideas to think that Israel is acting poorly and should behave better while at the same time acknowledging that Hamas is a terrorist organization that not only fights isreal but also oppress the common people of gaza. The Palestinians surly are caught in the middle and that's terrible no matter what else.


When this current conflict has ended; who is going to stand up for Palestinian's right to live free of the oppressive government that is Hammas? Who will be protesting in the streets and on college campuses to see the Palestinians freed from the terrorist organization? 16 years is a long time for the world to leave the Palestinians at the mercy of an organization that every one seens to agree is a terrorist organization. What is the world going to do?

This guy isn't what I would call a Holocaust survivor. So his opinion of Israel is just another opinion. He didn't/doesn't live there and was never taken prisoner. The whole title is a fake. His grand parents were a victim, when he apparently was 5 months old. His father was. And he himself admits that he has emotional issues today due to a 5 week separation from his mother when he was one year old. Sounds like he was simply too emotionally tender to endure much of any hardship. Just like so many today. A 5 week separation? I can say that would be a walk in the park for many, especially a one year old child.

Israel chose to sideline the President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas and started dealing with Hamas because they were afraid that Abbas would succeed in creating a Palestinian state.

This is the latest flawed argument by those who deny reality and call Jewish people antisemitic and Hamas supporters. It can't get anymore desperate than this.

That's why Israel is losing support all over the world and when a large number of innocent civilians have been killed, mostly women and children. A Jewish Academic has described precisely this a few days ago and it's covered in one of my threads.
