Perhaps I'm just of a different generation ... but I am of the opinion that if a University wants to give workshops for students, they should have workshops for things that are important, like a workshop on how to do well in a job interview ... not a workshop on how to play with a filthy butt hole.

That is your narrow minded coming out.
You are saying because it doesn’t interest you it shouldn’t happen. Schools wouldn’t have these things if people didn’t attend.

Also, they do have lots of workshops like how to do well in an interview etc.

Well how do gay people have sex? Until I saw two gay blokes doing a sort of misssionary thing on a tv show I just assumed they always did it sorta doggy style. It was an eye opener to me and I am not some Amish type who has lived in the woods since I was a baby.

Some of these workshops may be for therapists, like sex therapists, or marriage counselors to understand sexual behavior for things they are not exposed to. For example, if a straight counselor finds they are counseling a lot of lgbtq couples, they might want to know more about the sexual habits, styles etc of gay people.

Our workshops are lead by experts in the fields of sexual health and intimacy, who ensure that each individual in attendance leaves feeling knowledgeable and empowered. We firmly believe that it’s just as important to get an education inside the bedroom as it is inside the classroom,” the website reads.

From the article…

Remember back in the day we had Dr. Ruth?
She was wildly popular and on a lot of shows, in the newspaper, magazine. This really isn’t much different.

Maybe. Like I said, could be just that I'm a different generation and all ... but this sex week thing just doesn't make sense to me. Workshops on how to get jobs and how to communicate, etc etc. Sure. But workshops on stuffing things into a dirty butt hole .... common. To me that's ridiculous.

I think that is what you aren’t getting, they really do have those workshops on how to get jobs and communications. When I got my degree you had to have speech class in order to graduate.

Anal sex is how a lot of people have sex, that’s a fact. It might be uncomfortable for you, (the topic, not the act
but that doesn’t diminish the fact that it happens. Now just image a person from a conservative family, that wants to be a sex counselor. Do you think they are equipped to counsel two gay men? They might not even know some of the terminology or such. Or imagine a college counselor that works with gay students and they want more information on having safe sex.

Or have you ever watched that show “Sex sent me to the ER”? Probably not. I imagine a lot of ER doctors see the horrors of people putting things in to what you call a dirty butt hole…just imagine if they went to one of these workshops.

Whether kids should be taught about anal sex, this is debatable. Still the parents know the curriculum. Perhaps, they prefer their children to learn about sex in the "controlled environment" rather than while browsing porn sites on the internet or talking to their friends.

I mean sex is so new, how did we all survive these last million years without sex week? BTW do you really want some old scruffy Harvard professor teaching sex ed...

I want my kids to learn what I paid for and expected for that money and their time invested, nothing more or less. I really do not like schools at any level extending into personal levels, because they feel they should. Would you like the guy changing your oil to come up to you and start to give you life advice all the while he is on the clock costing you money to change your oil?

Something is obviously not working as birth rates are down all over the place. Many women are saying, No thanks.

Also, many “kids” pay for their own education. Also higher learning is just that, it’s beyond the basics, and delving into what you want to be as an adult. Not all classes are meant for degreed work either, some of it like what this sounds like is for furthering your education in a particular subject with experts. That could be making pottery, or soil science, or sex education. The amount of people saying don’t teach this because I don’t like this really screams we don’t like freedom of choice…..

Everybody is unique in their sex. Do you really think this workshop will save someone from putting a light build up their ass? The problem isn't this one event it's the normalizing of everything and mixed in there are all kinds of hidden bad stuff.

HA, if we want to talk about normalization can we talk about Pornography? Men are addicted to it. Maybe you (meaning men not you in particular) should do some self reflecting.

making pottery,

I would be pissed too if they had a week of pottery that was costing me. You can explain it away however you like, but at the end of the day, the reason why people are backing off of kids and the population will implode in the future is that the so-called "teachings", and not just this event, are all driven towards self-gratification without the idea of children as part of it. There are many people today who can't get off unless they are watching porn. Many others don't want to deal with actually living with another person they love, so they will just masturbate themselves into old age, both men and women. I hope everyone enjoys their life in a small room hooked to the internet as their only interaction with anyone else as they just spend their time popping off organisms, most likely from a device hooked to their pleasure center. Well, at least they will not be putting light builds up their asses.

You do realize that people don’t have to go or pay for workshops if they don’t want to right?
Workshops are a sort of extra class, some are used almost exclusively for professional development, and this one really sounds like that.

Honestly? God what a mad, handmaids tale vision of the world that would be. Whats wrong with having sex cos it is fun?
Only doing it for procreation rules it out for most of the world, most of the time. I read there was a sect of judaism that makes a husband and wife have a sheet between them with a hole in it so that neither of them gets too much fun out of things... Be like doing Casper the friendly ghost

Why is it that the countries with the most open policies on sexual education have the Lowest sexual violence rates?

Until that trend doesn't change there is no argument against sexual liberation...

Why does everything turn into a business, should be the question, but alas economy is our true God...

There's a big difference between sexual liberation and perverted degeneracy.
Let's be honest, anal sex is very bad for the participants health.

So is fast food.

Sexual liberation and perverted degeneracy is in the eye of the beholder.

Exactly, which is why the law no longer outlaws sex acts for "moral degeneracy", but on the basis of ethical consensus.
It's also how we decided the age of consent should be 18, and not an arranged marriage at 13.

I worked with a dude that had left the Mennonite community. He looked something straight out of one of those Amish shows. Even more funny he went to school for Information Technology.
Even more funny, or disturbing. He was always getting porn popping up on his work computer and never knew how it got there. He was never fired!
