Bats is literally Leather Mice as Moers writes it. It is a lot of fun.

Flying foxes are the goshdarn rootin tootinest cutest little things ever!
I had an insect eating bat get in my house over the summer and it got confused and couldn't fly out.
I had to pick it up with a towel. I won't lie, it was kinda ugly, but it never tried to bite or nip.
It just clicked like a telegraph, trying to see me and figure out what was happening,
and carefully tapping my hand with its wings,
as if to say, "Please don't hurt me, bro! Please I don't wanna die! I escaped your dog! Not like this!"
Hard to be repulsed at that point. The darn thing seemed to have empathy.

We put it in the garage so it could eat all the bugs it wanted and not bug us.
Very misunderstood creatures they are.
Even the ugly ones.

This one time my partner in crime and I were on the lam.
We went to a town in another jurisdiction
found a prospective employer who could use our skill set
who put us up for the night
where we were to start work in the morning.

She woke us up in the middle of the night and
requested our assistance in getting a bat out of the facility.

Attempts to herd it toward an open door failed.
Eventually it came to throwing a blanket on it
and carrying it outside.

Love it FullHeaten, I love bats. Underrated and hated creatures that keep us from being overwhelmed by mosquitoes.

Also, they are excellent aviators, matched only by swallows for speed and manoeuvrability.
