Didn't some of the greatest bands in rock and roll history also come from England??? I believe that Queen, The wHo, T - Rex, Def Leppard are just a few. Even though Queen is known for some of the hard rock songs of the 1970s, to me Bohemian Rhapsody really stands out due to the heavy guitar towards the end of the song.

I'm secure in my sexuality to say that I listen to trance music, and it is real, YOU try mixing it live. Do any of you know what it's like to make trance? make it sound good, mix it live on keyboards and mixers? Probably not the way you all talk about it. This is like middle school kids trying to act cool by saying they listen to the heaviest stuff.

Anyone who is here saying techno isn't real, can go die in a fire. Here, have some matches... go for it.

Its just as real as any other music, its an art, and it sounds good. Not everyone who likes trance is a raver. I like Infected Mushroom, certain scooter albums, Alien Project, Broken Toy, Orbital, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, DJ Tiesto, Andy Hunter, Crystal Method, SOME prodigy tho not much. Plus much more, like Astral Projection

I did list Scooter, but from what I've heard of them, the problem is it's too much of a "car alarm" thing. The song in particular is "Crank it Up." The problem is not that it isn't pounding and high-energy, but the problem is that it's BORING! It's the musical equivalent of someone screaming for 30 seconds, then screaming again. Repeat.


Sometimes these songs just go full-tilt-boogie from the start, but sometimes you need to build tension and release. That's kinda a problem that plagues Eurobeat music too. It just starts, jams on the accellerator, and never lets go until the end. (Of course, this might be a reason why these songs are short! I've seen Euro CDs with THIRTY SONGS on one disc!)

Yeah, I actually have a pretty broad musical taste myself. Classical, Rock, Rap, Folk, losts of other things. EXCEPT for most country music.

NOW IT'S TIME FOR A SEGUE!

Needless to say, being an electronic music nut, I am thuroughly stoked that Konami is releasing Beatmania for the American PS2 here. Anyone out there who is both a gamer and a techno music fan should check this out.

first of all , just because they dont play live instruments on stage doesnt mean those instruments in a song weren't recorded in a studio to begin with.. not all electronic music is created only by computer... they do have people lay down drums and guitar riffs and bass lines... and there is alot of electronic music with vocals as well..

ill be damned if you say im not a musician being that i create electronic music and mix it. alot of those same DJ's that create and mix that music live are also producers for alot of rock and pop bands.

now then..

HYBRID!!! i mean... just listen to finished symphony or kid 2000... jesus...

oh yea, and Radiohead uses alot of electronic music, are you saying they aren't musicians as well?

EDIT: yes in fact, for all you naysayers of electronic music, download Hybrid - Kid 2000. or U2U me and i can hook u up. it will change your view.
