RE the top image.
That is very weird as I was NOT online in the evening, and when I got here could not post.

I'm not sure that people did get "logged out". Isn't it the case, rather, that IF they had logged out themselves they were unable to get back in?
I normally remain logged in permanently. This depends on a cookie, apparently, so when that expires I have to log in again, but otherwise I don't go near the log-in page. That is why my old account remains logged in at this moment, but I can't do anything with it except read. I am in the same position as the two versions of Don'tTreadOnMe, but there's no significance in that.

Let's hope so.

Usually, hacks are done with a specific purpose, like killing the whole site and ask for a ransom, or to do something nasty to specific members.
In this case all appear to have been affected in the same way and the only thing that appears to have been affected is members' permissions, so I think this is more likely some kind of database glitch.

I don't log out, voluntarily, but I'm aware that a cookie will expire on some future date and present me with the log-in page.

Access Control List for ATS.Strange thing is, apparently it did not affect members that had joined this year , as they were posting how quiet things were last night.
After an hour it went to offline

That is not necessarily a logged out condition. That is most likely the time you lost full access on your old account.

I'd say NOT a hack.
I have heard that the Owners were online yesterday.
If the owners got a taste of where ATS has landed recently, I can see the need for the complete reset.
Where has it landed recently?
What do you mean by this cryptic code of yours?
Do you think that ATS should embrace some debunked ideologies so yourself and others could be satisfied? That's an example.
Sorry to ankle bite, but to whose standard? Debunked ideologies like an Israeli missile strike on a hospital or ones about Covid-19, Q-Anon, Soros? What's debunked or not debunked can clash sometimes.
But hey, I don't own this place, this site wants to go "No moderation" (by force or otherwise), it will be interesting to see a bunch of pussy avatars until it's washed away, like a mandala. Never though I'd see an invasion of that style here, but I should have guessed.

Understood. What I was specifically referring to what the ATS website itself said as to who was registering "logged in" on the Forums page. I am pretty sure whomever, if anyone this may be useful to, understands this.
