What amount of weight should anyone take from a Minister of Education's comments, who has no involvement with the country's defense? None, I should think.

Not true.
The comment was made by an official and it's very serious as it can be perceived as a threat. He doesn't have to be a defense minister or part of the military. How did you manage to raise the bar?! It's truly unbelievable!
Iran is the usual suspect but Turkey is the elephant in the room.

I keep warning people about Turkey's President Erdogan. Too many articles about his secret desire to raise the Ottoman empire. I started questioning his true intentions for the region when I read about all of his meetings with Egypt's short term Muslim president, Mohamad Morsi, back in the day before he was removed.

Jumping to assumptions gets us nowhere. Let's wait and see if anyone takes this seriously. It will probably just be ignored as Netanyah has more important issues than replying to a lowly opinionated minister of Turkey.

Judging by Bibi's corruption scandals, and the current situation in Gaza, I'd think about this friendly reminder to be careful what you wish for.
You really think Israels neighbors would sit on their hands while "half a genocide" unfolds in Gaza?
Our "leaders" lost all contact to reality, and we're about to find out the hard way.

So you are saying that the prime minister is happy to let what was said stand?
Then other countries should assume its Turkey's position.

I am not saying that. I am saying the minister of education's comment which was actually this: "One day they will shoot you too, you will die," - he wrote in a now-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) in response to a video posted by about Israeli air strikes in Gaza.
To me it's not a position, it's a statement by a lowly deputy minister of education of Turkey, which can be taken many ways.
Has there been any reply or rebuttal?

You stand correct on this.
And I have said it several times in one of my threads. The best possible solution is directly to the negotiation table because the victims will multiply on both sides.
If Hamas can do so much harm to Israel and kill over 1,200 people in just 2-3 days, imagine what other countries could do that have a proper army many more soldiers to use. At which point the war will be extended with many more countries joining and taking sides and eventually a world war.

if the PM doesn't correct tit, its safe to assume the deputy speaks for the govt but the govt also has plausible deniability. Like you seem stuck on..

If they don't fire him it shows you where their government stands.
