The CBC isn't some federally run propoganada machine, otherwise they'd be throwing out liberal bias and calling Hamas a terror group. They get funding from the government, but its more for infrastructure and boosting canadian news over foreign news... anyways.

Yes it would. Because the situation in that part of the world can have a huge impact on the world. Isreal is a nuclear power, and the current government is really clamping down on all civilians there, not just the Palestinians, but all Arabs, and moderate jews. They want to abolish the Supreme Court and implement a sort of theocracy and wipe out the Arab populations.

So can you not see how Hamas and Hezbollah can be seen as not a terrorist group, but a freedom fighting group?

It makes sense to me. If hamas is a terrorist group, and there are indeed a lot of them operating in Canada, would you want to trigger them and cause a # show? I actually think the may be right on this one for the sake of keeping the peace in our country. This may be the only time I have ever agreed with CBC.

No one is denying the Palestinians freedom except themselves, so no. Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorists. Most of the Palestinians support them. Freedom fighters don't butcher children.
