So lets all the good folk curl up and die and let those willing to be brutal inherit the earth.

Sounds like an excellent plan.

The heads of the CBC should be put on a terrorist watch list. They may be potentially dangerous executives.

Ummm...soooo...you think it was ...ahem..."The Good Folk"...who killed a million Iraqi civilians...for no good reason...for...just because...for...NOT...having weapons of mass destruction...for...NOT...being a party to 911...?

Also...those...ahem..."Good Folk"...who occupy militarily a Sovereign nation...to this day...with NO UN mandate...and steal this nations grain and oil...all because some..."terrorists"...created by the US in the aftermath from another non-UN mandated NATO offensive action in Libya...by those same...ahem..."Good Folk"...

Are those the curling up...ahem..."Good Folk"...to which you refer...?

Enquiring minds and all...

What? A movie? What are you talking about? Seriously dude ... incomprehensible.
Try to give more coherent information or something.

I vividly remember Colin Powell going on television to describe how America was going to cut off the head of the snake by assassinating or capturing Saddam Hussein...as their number one priority.

With advances in weapons, technical and satellite technology, Israel and America should be able to take out the HAMAS leaders within three or four days.

The fact that they are delaying killing them, is troubling.

I know, you're angry and frustrated. Breathe, let it sink in and try to formulate a coherent question in case you're still able to control your emotions, and open your mind without having the brain fall out.

You wouldn't be the first to learn a few things, and adapt to a whole new condition.

The CBC isn't refusing or demanding their journalists to not call them terrorists they can say it, but it needs to be taken as opinion.

I don't see how if you don't demonize, label, or denounce X you automatically support X and hate Y.

The situation between Isreal and Hamas is complicated they have been in armed conflict for some time now, it's easy to call them terrorists, but you can easily call them a militant group as well. And if we follow the old saying, history is written by the victors, then Isreal is the winning side and can claim that they are a terrorist organization, much like the IRA. But then again, another old saying, one man's freedom fighter is another's terrorist.

The CBC imo not going down the path as Elon Musk put it sarcastically, "we must support the latest thing!" - is a neutral ground. You don't need to supply Isreal, or Hamas, or join in on the hate train either.

It's still all unfolding and what would happen if the CBC ran a massive biased hit piece on Hamas and Palestinians all to find out oops it was actually the Isreali military who stoked the violence. Just like Saddam had weapons of mass destruction, and had his troops kill hundreds of babies in incubators right?

The problem is Hamas's leaders aren't in Gaza. When you see "two Hamas leaders killed" and headlines like that, they are local commanders, they're not the very top leaders of the group. The leaders live abroad in places like Qatar.

Assassinating them there would cause serious diplomatic problems for the US.

Israel might not give a # though.

Hamas is an internationally recognized terrorist group, including by the Canadian government.

It's not a matter of opinion. This is typical brainless progressive denial of reality. If a word hurts their little feelings, pretend it doesn't mean what it actually means.

The big question is: why does it hurt the feelings of CBC broadcasters to call terrorists who murdered Jews terrorists.

We all know the answer. Because the victims were Jews.

Absolutely zero of this hand-wringing would be done if the victims were anyone but Jews.

Ummm...and it wasn't brutal to kill around a million civilians...?

Or 70,000 more in Afghanistan...

It was pretty brutal what NATO caused in Libya...

It was fairly brutal...arming Isis and sending them off to chop off some heads...

All thanks to your...ahem..."Good Folk"...

Pretty much the definition of brutality there...

The UN doesn't see them as one, neither do several other nations, although they're some unsavory nations, but still.

I'm not defending what Hamas has carried out recently, but you can clearly see how divisive this has become.

Ummm...I vividly remember Colin Powell holding up a vial at the UN and unabashedly lying to the whole world about..."Weapons of Mass Destruction"...

All so that the MIC and the Neocons could tick another country off of General Petraeus list...

Colin Powell has no credibility...none...

Does the UN run Canada?

This thread is about CBC. Their own government recognizes Hamas as terrorists. The actions Hamas took on Saturday are terrorism by any definition of the word as well.

And my point stands that this conversation would simply not be happening if the victims weren't Jews.

How anyone can deny Saddam had WMD is just crazy to me. There were confirmed instances of him using it on Iran, and on his own people.

Not to mention liberal rag The New York Times has done stories about our veterans who were wounded by handling Iraqi WMD.

The VA has a program for veterans who were injured by handling or disposing of these munitions.
