No one hates Trump more than I. Canadian Leftist/American moderate. So I'm probably exactly who is targetted by this article.

For myself I can tell you that the hate for Trump runs much beyond admitting that he was right with some of his ideals and policies. I'll be the first to stand up and said that as much as I hated him, his approach to the southern border was the right one. You can't have an unprotected border where tonnes of people are trying to come in. Something needed to be done. Now I don't like the fact that he screamed that Mexico would pay for it. Everyone knew that wouldn't happen. But that's one of the things that most people I know don't like about Trump. He would be a lot more likeable if he just shut his mouth and got # done. Instead he ran off at the mouth and ends up making himself look like an ass. But policy wise on the border he was not wrong. Something needs to be done.

The Ivermectin thing I still don't believe is right. I have not seen nearly enough studies or credible health agencies back this up.

Other areas I feel he was right: Keeping the Chinese out of our 5G and technology as much as possible, taxation for everyone except the rich, etc.

So did you ignore the OP or not understand it?

I understood it when I read the opening "Watching the TDS suffer" line , Trump and his supporters are right everyone else is wrong and suffering mental problems , the rest of the OP threw a couple of concessionary crumbs but TBH it's a typical Trump support thread.

Walking away from the Iran Nuclear deal didn't make us any safer , it was a dumb move.

His spending was projected to keep climbing higher than the tariffs were offsetting. Don't kid yourself, and he signed the covid relief funds. Spiking the deficit.

Those dictators were going to walk all over him and America regardless, don't be so naive. He just wanted to look cool around all the other dictators and be accepted once he got more consolidated power.

Finally... yea yea blame Canada where we actually let the farmers decide pricing and not be held by the hand of government. NAFTA is in place to allow free trade, the US didn't need to buy milk from Canada but they did, because it was still a cheaper alternative.
Maybe stop letting failed dairy farmers in America survive off government money?

Amazingly, we likely agree on much more than you would think. I also feel that he would have been a great president if he didn't speak most of the time. HIs actions were solid in many cases. But he said so many stupid things it detracted from all the good things he accomplished. And he had bad policy choices as well, but from my perspective, less than most who have sat in that chair.

I was happy with the direction of our energy, and the lack of new wars. With a secure border, I'd have a hard time coming up with more things I want for my country. But the MIC has to eat too I suppose.

I'll try to remember you have some smarts.

Oh, I'm not the one making jokes here, Trumps spending was a little above par to Obama. not including COVIDs money, Trump added 4.6 trillion to the national debt, as to where Obama added roughly 4.3 each term.

Were they going to? Did they? Oh that's right, all of the wars and attacks have bene under Biden. Almost like they knew if they did it while Trump was in office he would throw out a few more MOABs to spread the wealth. They knew he was crazy enough to not mess with anyone they couldn't afford to.

Sure, blame the hard working Americans. What a new and never used tactic.

I think you saw what the media wanted you to see, or maybe it's what you wanted to see.

I think you're wrong unless you think the media control Trump's speeches and rallies , what I saw was from the horses / donkeys mouth.

This is an outright lie, but it's still being paraded around like some kind of self-evident truth.

Seriously ?

And No I'm not a Leftist Biden supporter before the inevitable rage ensues.

no, but your programming seems to be holding up quite well. BBC must have done a bang up job on you mate.

It could be that you are the one who was programmed.

It could be. But based on my perception of reality, the folks that cannot admit that Trump did anything right, while some of the things he did, are being repeated, sure seem to have some issues.

So the Biden admin is wrong for claiming a physical barrier on the border is needed, and Iran was sincere in their wish to not acquire a nuclear weapon? Please tell me more.

I've never claimed that Trump didn't do anything right. I also find it hilariously ironic that Biden stopped Trumps wall only to start building the wall again a few years later. I think Iran has already acquired nuclear weapons.

You put too much faith in one man, you end up in bad places. Trump lost and his buddies threw a hissy fit. Whatever he had dealt with behind closed doors, I suspect wasn't in the best interests of the people under the thumb of their dictators.

He's done. And he's not even on par with who I'm going to assume you are comparing him too. Distasteful really at least Trudope isn't locking up entire Muslim populations or forcing his citizens to jump into the meat grinder, or starving his people.

Besides the portion of those taken out of context of what he was talking about, some of them were Trump joking around with the audience. I'll give you a couple of them, because I think he stuck his foot in his mouth, but even if I granted every clip in that video, at the very least you come out a hypocrite for your double standard.

Nevertheless, it's a moot point and no longer worth the back and forth. I'm done.

Umm, it kept Iran from getting froggy under Trump ….. but then the worst carnage in a long time, under Biden ?

That kind of dumb move ?

Just like Afghanistan, couldn’t have had anything to do with Biden. Had to be Trump somehow.

This is why you’re spoofed with the TDS thing. You keep doing it in spades while proclaiming that it doesn’t exist.

That kind of dumb move ?

No , the kind of dumb move where under the deal they were subject to inspections and monitoring but without the deal they were not.

Just like Afghanistan, couldn’t have had anything to do with Biden.

The Afghanistan withdrawal was instigated by Trump , another dumb move.

Blah blah blah , same old same old.

I can agree that Trump was right on some things like I can say a broken clock is right twice a day.

In any case I wouldn't vote for a broken clock.

I dont dislike Trump as much I dislike his die hard supporters. And it boils down to them not knowing when to move on and shut up.

Yknow who the establishment did dirty?
Ron Paul. But I don't spend every other post spouting Ron Paul support and rhetoric.

It's like with religion.

I don't mind there being religion, but I don't want to be bothered by Jehovas Witnesses when I'm eating dinner or chastised by Christians when I want to go to the pier.

The holier than thou, we are right mentality of Trump supporters is what turns me off, not the politician.

Or like climate change activists, they may have the right message but HOW they send that message, (like throwing paint on artwork or gluing their hands to pavement) turns people away from the movement.

Not sure if you are aware, but not ONE thread on this entire site requires you to read it, much less participate in it.
I hope that helps you in the future, so far, not so much.

They’ll never admit he was right on anything because that’s how stupid they are.

They all had it better under Trump than the Biden dumpster fire, but their stunted emotions do the talking for them.

It’s gonna be glorious to see the heads explode when he gets elected again.

One of the things people like about Trump is that he’ll go ahead and spout off, joke around, and even do the unthinkable and say that some jagoff deserves a knuckle sandwich. Normal everyday people enjoy this and want it in a leader.

I’ll always choose that guy over a fake Ken doll like Newsome, brain dead robot like Biden, giggling dope like Harris or AOC, nasty old bat like Pelosi / Waters.

So of course some trembling little pantywaste lefty makes a compilation of Trump’s threats. He probably cries all night thinking about them. Better report this to AG Litigious James. She can arrest Trump for this. “Assault against the whole country !”
