Once again, to where? The citizens of Gaza are trapped in Gaza and now the Israelis are turning it into a killbox.

Mebbe they shouldn't have decapitated babies heads in front of their mothers.

It’s a fair point, really.

So you support the murder of 1 million children even though they are innocent? How does that make you any better than Hamas?

Your BS argument is invalid when you support the killing of millions of babies via abortion.

The Liberal hypocrisy is at a new level with you guys.

Anywhere but Gaza. Why not the West Bank? Safe passage through Jordan or Israel. Why are world leaders not calling for this?

Instead everyone is arguing about an area that has been at war for over 50 years...

Better question yet.

Why won't Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan or Saudi Arabia accept them?

Accept them, or do the slightest thing for them.

They're dependent on power from the "apartheid" state of Israel?

Egypt can't run them a line, or none of these oil-rich Muslim countries can go in and help them build their own power infrastructure?

But not a peep about that from the "I support Palestine" crowd.

Because they don't give a flying # about the Palestinians. They care what the Palestinians give them: an excuse to hate Jews.

Yet are happy to supply them weapons and amplify their messaging.

Almost like the serve a singular purpose.

And that purpose has nothing to do with humanity.

Egypt can't run them a line

You do realize Egypt kicked them out and built a wall to try and keep them out , yes ?
A wall still guarded today.

That’s twice now they’ve run away when I mentioned that little fact.
Here and in another thread.

They cannot coherently reply to it without looking like fools.

I do. That rather supports the point I was making.

The fake "I support Palestine" crowd never has a word to say about that side of the issue. The only side they have a problem with are the Jews. Quite a coincidence, that.

In fact, in the main thread on the war, the ones that's over 100 pages, I made this point to one of the Palestine supporters about Egypt not doing # to help in Gaza.

His response was that Egypt's mistreatment of the Palestinians was done to appease Israel.

So, you guessed it: Who is responsible for Muslim countries not helping the Palestinians? The Jews of course! They're behind everything, don't ya know? The Jews even run Muslim countries, apparently!

Hamas attacked Israel.
Israel is fighting back.
Hamas, as is their custom, is hiding among the civilian populace, forcing Israel to choose between killing innocents, or not fighting back.

no win situation. no one wins.

if Israel could surgically remove only the bad guys and leave the innocents alone, they would.

The population in Gaza is reported to be around 2.1 million people. I'm not sure what percentage of them are terrorists. This includes Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and a few other groups. But support among the population for terrorism runs between 50 and 70% depending on the poll.

Let's do a quick numbers game. Conservatively, say 50% of the population supports terrorism and round down. That's about a million people.

Saying you support terrorism doesn't make you a lawful target in a war.

Providing material support to the terrorists does though. Let's say only 10% of the supporters are actually providing material help to the terrorist groups.

That means over 100,000 people in Gaza are legitimate military targets according to the laws of war.

So if Israel just bombed randomly, about 5% of the dead would be terrorists or lawful targets based on directly supporting the terrorists.

Israel doesn't bomb randomly though. They use precision bombing and they warn civilians in advance to get out of buildings they're going to hit. Some civilians will still be killed, but that significantly raises the likelihood that those killed would be lawful targets. Even if they're only 50% effective (which is conservatively low), with the random rate included and the known number of actual fighters, this means around 60% of the dead will be lawful targets.

That would actually be historically good when it comes to warfare. For reference, in WW2 over 60% of the dead were civilians.

Keep all this in mind when Hamas gets the international media to be their willful mouthpieces over the thousands of dead. Most of them will likely be lawful targets.

That still sucks for the innocent people who will be killed. I wish the Palestinians would stop their war with Israel.

Does the State of Israel have the right to exist?

Everything that exists has a right to exist, until it doesn't.
The State of Israel exists as does the United States, by the continued will of its people.

Over a territory they were allowed to stay on for 30+ years.

So hypothetically: The United States falls to a dictatorship and the dictator decides who is and who isn't a citizen. The non-citizens who are living in the country have no place to be deported to because they aren't from anywhere else.

The lucky ones found another country to immigrate to before the fall. The rest are pretty much screwed, kind of like the Native Americans after the founding of the United States. Kicked off land, forced emigration to territories, eventually confined to reservations, until the 1920s. What's that 150 years? So in another 75 years Palestinians may be allowed to leave the reservation, aka refugee camps?

The UN does not own a country to settle former U.S. citizens in any more than Palestinians. They just don't.

Maybe the U.S. should defeat an Arab country and force the defeated country to take the Palestinians. Or maybe the U.S. should take the Palestinians. Or maybe Israel can de-Hamasify the Palestinians and make them citizens of the State of Israel.
