I am willing to bet money that all these buildings had different fire protection zones with special fire proof walls, special fire and smoke proof interconnectors but you were just not aware about it.

My shop has three of these zones and even the cables on the roof have to have a distance when they bridge over these walls. And when I bought the building it had these zones already and fire proof stuff that was installed in the 70s. Because they all had labels where it said when and WHO (the name signed) installed these.

You were just not aware about it, I am very confident.

People choose idiots to represent them because people in general, are in fact idiots.

I don't know of anything with legs, but they do need to do something even if it is a token gesture. If not, it opens the door to this kind of stuff happening all the time without recourse. People could just have their staffer run out and pull the alarm in the middle of votes.

I mean the House controls the purse and every shut down for the past three decades has been under a GOP controlled House. Who else is there to blame?

Hell, this time there was even and agreement made months ago but the GOP couldn't agree amongst themselves to pass it.

Official proceedings were interrupted because of the alarm going off in their offices.
PLUS what he did was highly illegal - removing emergency signs and pulling the alarm.

New York representative Jamaal Bowman was allegedly caught on camera pulling the alarm in the Cannon Building, which houses numerous Congressional office spaces, as lawmakers scrambled to pass a plan to keep the government funded before it ran out of money on Saturday at midnight.

The move has sparked a incensed reaction from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene who is now calling for Bowman to be prosecuted.

Taking on X, formerly known as Twitter, the congresswoman wrote: 'Democrat Rep. Jamaal Bowman pulled the fire alarm in the Cannon building this afternoon and interrupted the official proceedings of the House as Republicans worked to keep the government open.
