UPDATE 8/6: Feinstein-Trump Exchange Jabs Over Chinese Spy Driver Revelation

It happened five years ago, but additional information is just surfacing about how the Bay Area senator's office was infiltrated by a Chinese spy.

nice

but Feinstein has already been immortalized in the video "My Pet Goat, ll" as the stylized 'old hag' trapped in the phallic-tower (symbolizing the Washington Monument in reality)

Feinstein trapped herself as a career politician in a man's D.C. (as implied in the video) my interpretation

Her politics I had no use for.

I do, however, wish nothing but peace for her family. Not easy to lose someone.

RIP to the old dear, 90 is a fair age.

She's a war criminal murderer. Her death should be celebrated like McCain.

Good riddance I say the world is a little better place today.

Im not going to argue with you about the death of an old 90-year-old woman who was obviously not quite all there in the end.

If that's how you feel about the matter good luck with that.

End of the day she is somebody's mother and grandmother.

Again RIP and condolences to her family.

She was dead for all practical purposes a while ago. Her body finally just caught up to that fact.

But her vote lived on and on...

I hope about 2 dozen more don't live as long...

While others in Congress struggled to make ends meet, sleeping in their offices to save on rent, Feinstein commuted from San Francisco aboard a Gulfstream G650 jet (pre-owned, the aircraft averages $61,815,000), sported expensive jewelry and flitted from one mansion to the next.

Then we have this

as her own health publicly failed, an ugly dispute among the couple’s children cast new light on their fortune and raised the prospect of a court battle over the estate.

Super rich, lived to 90, kids fighting over her worth that she had at least 300 million in real estate, should I shed a tear?

Scores of politicians are super-rich, thats just the shape of the game by the looks of things and seems to go hand in hand with political powers.

Her kids/grandkids might be shedding a few tears over more than just money through.

It's horrible how people squabble over what is left when people shuffle off their mortal coil.

Again she was not all there at the end(did not even know she had a vote at one point i seem to recall) and reached 90, similar to the demise of my own gran aside from the super-rich part.

However you feel about the matter is your own concern.

She is just another 50+ years in politics person who overstayed her welcome by a decade or two. Add that I really disagreed with much of what she did is just icing on the cake.

A lot of politicians are way too old and past their prime Xtrozero.

I don't think there is any denying that fact.

So on that note, we probably agree.

My cousins and aunt and uncle all got together when my grandmother was still alive and started claiming stuff of hers, in her presence!

"Grandma, I want this, I want that. "

I felt like it was ghoulish, and said so at the time.

So I didn't claim anything. And in the end, I didn't get anything.

People are a**holes. Havent spoken to any of them since, don't return their calls, don't miss them.

It's nasty and in particularly poor taste.

There like flies around shi@e.

I lost a house when my gran passed due to the fact that i could not be bothered/did not have the strength to contest or fight with other family members and officials over mere possessions.

In hindsight, that was probably a bad idea, now that i think about it.

Its not your concern at the time through is it, and money and objects cant bring back the ones that we love.

People can indeed be "a**holes" and there is no great shortage of them nether, seemingly at the worst of times.

On the other hand, I'm very proud of my brother, the executor of my mothers/fathers estate. There was a legal snaffu in that my mother left 3 properties, one to each of us kids. Only problem, mine had been sold, shortly before she passed, and she had not updated the will.

So essentially, I was out.

My brother said, lets just take the remaining properties, sell them both (nobody wanted to keep them) and split it 3 ways.

Of course, I agreed. My sister, begrudingly agreed at the time. 2 years later, after everything was settled, she had a change of heart. My brother held firm, the lawyer that had handled the estate knew she had agreed, and he shut her last minute challenge down. She took her 3rd and neither he nor I have heard a word from her since. Good riddance.

My brother and I are besties and stay in close touch. Far more than we did prior to my parents passing. How he handled it brought us together.

I still thank him often for being a good, fair person and treating me well. He didn't have to be. I didn't really need the money, so it wasn't about that. It was about being treated fairly and with love. My sister couldn't deal. Her loss.

I don't get how this is big news she was 90, would have lasted longer if she just retired at 40. Her ain't gun policies idea are dumb and mentally unsound logic behind them.

RIP. First and longest serving Female US Senator.

Her career just lends to criticism. She was the first female mayor of San Fransisco, succeeding the first openly gay mayor after his assassination for being the first openly gay mayor.0 She used that assassination as the foundation for gun control legislation.

Her death will be okay to mock because being a California democrat automatically dehumanizes her to a beast of burden class.

She presided over the California that went from Republican to Democrat. From Nixon through Bush Sr. California was a red state. It all changed the year she was elected to the Senate, 1992. And never went back.

She was at the forefront of shaping the democrat party into the one it is today. She will leave a legacy of spearheading several environmental regulations and gun control laws.

And now she will be given a respectful national send-off and be replaced by decision of Gavin Newsom.

Newsom has stated he will appoint a black woman. Front runner in that regard is Barbara Lee, 76, from Oakland. Though he promised to appoint a black woman he could still go with Katie Porter (Irvine) or Adam Schiff (Burbank).

Those are the top names so far.

Good post.

I certainly didn’t love her politics, or her unwillingness to step aside gracefully, but she is a notable figure in American history.

Respect on that basis should be given.

Someone has to be the first to be respectful to get us out of the societal tailspin we’ve been in.

Take the high road, model the way - thank you for your sensible and respectful contribution.
