Except that a trademark is not the same thing as diamonds, cash, cars, etc.

A trademark to sell in a country that is going to be manufacturing products for her to sell elsewhere? After she already had trademarks in China? Maybe the 2nd 3rd, or 100th is easier to get no matter who your daddy is.

This is influence peddling?

OK, if you say so.

To whom are you reffering?

After she already had trademarks in China?

Ivanka didn't have any trademarks in China until after her dad was elected. Her first applications were in 2016. She got more in 2018 and even more again in 2019.

Ivanka Trump this month received trademark approval from China for a broad array of items, including baby blankets, wallpaper and carpets. That wouldn't be unusual for a global business built on consumer goods such as elegant women's clothing and shoes, but it raises numerous ethical issues given that her father is the U.S. president.

The timing appears especially fraught given President Donald Trump agreed to rescue Chinese telecom giant ZTE Corp. shortly after Ivanka Trump's brand was awarded the trademarks.

"Last year, Ivanka's business won preliminary approval for three trademarks on the same day that she dined with Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mar-a-Lago. Earlier this year, Trump announced tariffs against China that exempted clothing — including clothing imports from Ivanka's Chinese manufacturers."

She didn’t have trade marks prior to her daddy’s presidency. I believe she had tried multiple times, tho.

If theyd simply hold Hunter to some legal standard, everything else would sort itself out.

If Biden was smart, he would have let the justice department charge him with crimes then find him guilty. Then he could have PARDONED him for those crimes and put him into treatment and kept the office of the president from becoming a coverup promoting government agency.

What exactly did these Chinese trademarks do for Ivanka?

What is important about these trademarks? What advantage do they give to a Chinese Trademark holder?

Then you are seeing things.

If you can't see influence peddling from Ivanka, then I guess you must be seeing things when you think that you see it from Hunter.

how can you be this ignorant?

We see it looking a whole lot like it's happening from Hunter and Joe. You seem to think it happened with Trump's kids. The difference here is we are saying investigate and jail anyone who broke the law. YOU are screaming to stop looking.

Why do you want everyone to stop looking, yet you won't stop bringing up Ivanka and Jared? You know Joey is guilty as hell and are afraid they won't be? What's your deal?

Is influence peddling illegal? No. Bribery is illegal.

It would have been illegal for Kushner and Mnuchin to take Saudi money for their personal investment firm while they were employed/appointed by the US Government to negotiate treaties and deals with Saudi Arabia. But when they received the money, they were private citizens, so it's not illegal on the surface. Is there is some backroom quid pro quo that we're not privy to that would make these transaction illegal, maybe. Has DOJ opened an investigation? Probably.

What we have right now is what looks like Hunter Biden, a private citizen, influence peddling access to his father. What we don't have is evidence that Joe Biden got paid bribery money, for Hunter's troubles, or doled out favors to protect Hunter.

They are, effectively, the Chinese government giving legal permission to trademark holders to sell their good in the Chinese market, at shopping centers, in retail stores, online, Chinese QVC, etc.

I wonder how they felt then about Trump turning around and slapping trade sanctions on them?

Seems like their trademark grants didn't get them much influence.

Maybe that is that why China had an accident with a bat in a lab? They were furious?

Sanctions? I think you mean tariffs.
China did just fine under the Trump Administration. It was the American people that got ripped off. The tariffs were passed on to them, the low grain and pork prices China got were reflected in higher prices for same for the American consumer.

Trump announced on August 1, 2019, that he would impose a 10% tariff on $300 billion of Chinese imports beginning September 1. COVID hit 3 months after and crippled the economy and the world.

Those tariffs are still in place BTW.

The American people are the paying the price for those tariffs through the current inflation.

Yes, and the part where you are against the Trump crowd, but totally defending the Biden crowd is what makes you the queen of DERP. I hope you find a way to grasp that soon.

Heh.

If it weren't for you continued "whataboutism" (this is where it actually applies) the conversation wouldn't be all over the place.

Nobody is denying that he said it. What we're denying is that Joe Biden blurted out his deviant plot to fire the Ukrainian Prosecutor to protect his son Hunter from some imagined investigation Shokin was (not) doing on Hunter Biden.

What he did do is take credit for an international effort to arrest corruption in the Prosecutor's office.

After all, Shokin resigned 3 months after Joe's ultimatum regarding the US's $1 billion, but only 6 days after the IMF threatened to withhold $40 billion.

Lol
Its still illegal

Your support of such is gross and silly
