For what it's worth, roughly 5 Trillion during the Trump term was added through the stimulus bills and associated acts; bills that the democrat controlled House and Senate refused to push forward unless their trillions of dollars in pet projects, raises, and special financing was attached along with it.

I remember the final stimulus bill being especially contentious and fought over, due to the additional wasted money they wanted to add.

The traitorous scumbag who promised the Chinese that he'd give them a head's up if Trump made any aggressive moves - what a colossal turd sandwich.

The right had every branch his first two years and he was still trending to beat his predecessor on spending and debt.

He also went out to get public support for the stimi bills and even insisted the checks had his signature. He also could have vetoed them.

For what it’s worth, COVID could have not happened and his admin was still already on that course of most spending and debt. And we can use half of his term where the democrats didn’t control anything to prove it.

He just didn’t do good economically unless you count the immediate time frame where everyone was flush with free cash and low interest loans. But math has a way of catching up to us, and you can’t just go on a credit spree without paying the price later on.

Got the sources and numbers to prove this theory?

You are very proud of this "factoid", I would hope so.

It certainly seems to be a reoccurring theme with Trump.

"I like people who weren't captured."
Referring to dead soldiers as "losers" & "suckers."

Believing media BS and leftist talking points seems to be a recurring theme with stupid commies.

Good little comrade parrots.

But he really wasn't though....

The image even comes from an article trying to lambaste his a$$, but all it shows is the continuation of a trend that started years prior. If the trend continued without interruption from fabricated snivel disease, he'd be running about even with the highest spenders; still beaten out by Obama, but tied with Bush Jr., and Biden (if he keeps his current heading).

All of this aside - You are correct, you can't spend money without paying it back; that's something the majority of intelligent folks were saying all throughout the last few years.

ALL THE MORE REASON TO SHUT IT DOWN! in my opinion.

***EDIT***

I love that ThreadBare linked the full article that I got this image from. Goes to show that numbers and words don't always match up.

You the one that supports a commie. He doesn't care about you let alone the country. But if it helps you sleep better then go for it.
I for one can see past his child like posturing and getting buddy buddy with dictators.

Also when you look at the graph, note that roughly half of the spending under Trump was for COVID.

www.propublica.org...

That’s the most detailed one stop shop for a view at pre COVID and his presidency as a whole.

Mediabiasfact checker has the site at a left centrist lean with a high factual reporting record.

As for the raw numbers and stats, it’s public record.

The government should stay shut down indefinitely.

Seriously, 80% of the government is not needed. Every time there is a shut down, 20% of the government keeps running, in order to provide necessary services. After a few weeks, the other 80% gets antsy because nobody misses them. Congress then reaches an agreement to give the 80% back pay, and to increase our debt ceiling by a couple Trillion dollars. Life goes on...until the next "sky is falling!" nothing-burger warning.

The chart shows the numbers for the end of each fiscal year. You’re right that it was mostly a continuation of his predecessor, which is still bad because Obama was a continuation of Bush. But it was also no secret that the tax cuts mixed with spending increases were going to make the line go exponentially up without COVID. That is a little bit more of a gray area, but if you decrease revenue and increase spending it’s not hard to predict the results.

Trump calls himself a patriot.. I call that BS. Trump found in our American patriots a useful tool to be used for his own self glorification. He hugged the American flag to prove it. What bollox.

I have serious doubts that this system of uni-party tomfoolery will find us truly capable leadership anytime soon.
So, what you call Biden a patriot then?

That’s even more embarrassing IMO. Because that money went towards overreaction.
