Nothing I have seen about Trump makes me think he has not and will not put himself above the needs of the country. So I do understand the interpretation of his post made in the source.

None of this changes my beliefs that:

1. The country needs better choices than Biden and Trump.

2. Trump was an average POTUS and below average leader. While Biden is a poor POTUS and poor leader.

I was reading about this earlier. And it doesn't surprise me and I'm sure his herd of followers will support this. The ones that support him no matter what are extremely predictable.
I would hope that this may show to some that he isn't as good a person nor leader as they previously believed.

Need to make politics a minimum wage job(or at least a gig not worth more than 100K a year), where they only get paid while in session.

Stop paying them millions of dollars to do absolutely nothing but line their own pockets with cash and we will see who really has the American people as their #1 priority.

And if none of the ones in right now do, replace them with ones that only want to be there to make the difference, not make millions.

Trump calls himself a patriot.. I call that BS. Trump found in our American patriots a useful tool to be used for his own self glorification. He hugged the American flag to prove it. What bollox.

I have serious doubts that this system of uni-party tomfoolery will find us truly capable leadership anytime soon.

Unfortunately for Trump, the DOJ is an essential service and does not shut down during a government shutdown. Also, the special counsel is not funded by Congress, so a shutdown doesn't affect them either.

But at least he's made it very clear he cares about himself more than the country.

I think that is the most rational choice. Let's see the politicians work for minimum wadge and keep living in these high priced states! No they should not get a housing stipened either. Sick of politicians who are clueless about how the lower half live . Make them pay their low rate insurance and have to pay big bucks for procedures like the people they are " helping"!

That’s why Trump lost my support long ago. If he gets elected again, if he doesn’t run a surplus his tenure will have added more debt and spending than Obama. His one term almost beat Obamas two terms.

You need to blame congress and senate for spending... Remember, Democrats took over congress during Trumps tenure.

The last time we really had a balanced budget was when Newt Gingrich was Speaker and Republicans forced it under Clinton.

Govt. spending needs to be cut drastically. I mean really cut. Right now, they just cut the growth in spending and call it a cut. So instead of say a budget increasing 10%, they only increase it 5% and then claim they cut spending. I want the actual budgets reduced and a lot of departments eliminated.

The government needs to be shut down at this point. They should actually shut it down for the next year and a half.

They are doing absolutely nothing for the American people. By staying open the only thing happening is our money be sent to Ukraine. Our money funding the processing, feeding and housing of illegal immigrants.
Our money funding cutting of our resources for the climate change narrative. Our money funding the persecution of any opposition to the current regime.

There is literally nothing this administration has done or is doing that benefits the American people.
