WASHINGTON — Ray Epps, a Jan. 6 participant whose removal from the FBI's Capitol Violence webpage sparked conspiracy theories that he was a federal informant, was charged in connection with the Capitol attack on Tuesday.

Epps is charged with one misdemeanor count, disorderly or disruptive conduct on restricted grounds. He was charged by information, which suggests that he plans to enter a plea deal.

I'm sure this will do nothing to quell the conspiracy theories surrounding Epps.

That said, he has now been charged for his actions on J6 and it sounds like he will be taking a plea deal.

The charges sound in line with most of the J6 cases, barring those where there's physical evidence of the defendant committing assault.

No it won't change anything for the conspiracy theories, but it will help his lawsuit against FOX that he filed in July this year.

Was there not enough video evidence of inciting an insurrection, or at least of inciting a breach of the Capitol.

Regardless of his lawsuit, he should be charged no differently then the proud boys, especially the one who wasn't even there. Ray Epps is forever immortalized on the silver screen for his actions that day and the day prior. He should get no less than 18 years. Don't you agree, or are you also a fan of 2 sides of justice?

He should be charged and convicted the same as the Proud Boys leader who was not even in DC on 1/6. There is video evidence of him inciting people to attack the capital. No conspiracy.

Sick and pathetic. Then again, it is par for the course with the current installed government because the people sure as hell did not put Biden in office.

I wonder what a strong look at his prior comms would dig up. Something or someone triggered him to go there and do what he did, and it wasn't Trump's Jan 6th speech. I'd wager he's a Merc, or was and was hired by a guy who was hired by Pelosi. Perhaps someone can dig into who purchased all those bullhorns that many had, but were all the same kind. Could be coincidence, but likely not.

It will likely take a change in the lineup to find the Truth, but I do hope Nance is around for the fireworks. She was nice enough to announce the intent to run again.

He got charged with disorderly conduct.

No terrorism enhancements, no sedition, no attempting to interrupt on official proceeding. No 2 years in solitary with just a bucket.

Despite being on video on Jan 5 and 6 telling people to specifically go inside the Capitol.

Total BS

Fully agree.

Personally, I think all those that participated should get felonies, all 1100 and more of them. But luckily for them, I'm not a judge or a prosecutor. Nor do I know the law the way I should.

Many of these scumbags are getting misdemeanors, some are getting off with only a few months.

He should get whatever he deserves. And now the scumbag will get rich off of FOX news because they were idiots. He'll be rich in a few months when he gets out.

Hook. Line. SInker.

Cop a misdemeanor plea, and then viola, no more talk about federal agents.

Nope not buying it. Not a bit.

There are people that have been given harsh terms that weren't even there.

Im underwhelmed, and not a bit fooled.

They don't have home on camera entering the Capitol. They don't have him on camera assaulting police. They have no evidence he had a plan to storm the Capitol and was working with others to effect that plan, so they can't really charge him with conspiracy.

Except for the video evidence of him the night before telling others what needed to be done the next day.

That video would be more evidence than others were convicted on conspiracy charges for.

Of course it won't... you know, since he's been walking around free while a whole lot of others who did nothing more than casually walk around the capital, many of whom didn't even go inside, have been rotting in solitary confinement for 2+ years.

That said, he has now been charged for his actions on J6 and it sounds like he will be taking a plea deal.

Of course he will, no jail time, a slap on the wrist.

Yeah, he's only responsible for a large part of what happened that day,

They've got to charge/convict him in a controlled fashion so the truth of the part he actually played that day never comes out.

The vast majority of J6 defendants spent no time in pretrial detention.

Yeah, he's only responsible for a large part of what happened that day,

He was meeting with Team Trump in the months leading up to the event? He put together a plan with multiple other people that would've seen protesters take over the Capitiol and then launch strikes from the against other government buildings? He's the one that organized the protest at the Capitol?

Maybe he's the one who forgot to bring all of the weapons.
