And as the Bible says in this that I find interesting: Deuteronomy 6:4 "The Lord our God, the Lord is one". It doesnt name GOD...just call him LORD, because He is ONE! A lotta folks got a lotta names for "GOD" in their countries and belief systems...and Ill respect that.
I'm positive. Absolutely positive... that Jesus often smiled as he spoke. JESUS Im sure...saves no one. HE ALREADY HAS.
Please! I never said I know the Bible- your words. You....are soooo lost if you think I'm pushing any "Jesus agenda". I'll pray you find truth.
You...are assuming based on the printed word...that I'm uninformed. How do you know I have no Theology Degree, am not a Church Deacon, or studied at a Seminary (I did)?"
The Divine is not of printed word, but of flesh and blood. Every day. Will you stand before yours and say " Of Yeah Lord! I spent my whole life reading the (some) "good book".
PS My GGFather, Evangelist converted 25,000 people to the "Lord"...not Jesus. Now why do you suppose that is?
This does not diminish God's sovereignty, but recognizes that He has sovereignly designed man to have free will which allows him to respond to God (for a related discussion on election see GraceNotes no. 72). Since the Bible teaches that man does not seek God on his own (Rom. 3:11), God must take the initiative. He reveals Himself in creation, and though man knows this, he still refuses to honor God (Rom. 1:19-21). So God, in His love, seeks us out (Luke 19:10; John 3:16; 1 John 4:9-10). But how should we understand the word draw as it is used in John 6:44? The range of meaning for the word elkuo includes to draw, pull, or attract. It is found five times in the New Testament, four of those in John. Though the literal uses in John and Acts clearly mean drag or pull (John 18:10; 21:6; Acts 16:19) the two figurative uses in John 6:44 and 12:32 are better understood as attract.
Please! I never said I know the Bible- your words.
Of course not...even the newspapers in 1890 said "it is said he was responsible for converting....etc".
Sometimes my brethren, your answers are not found in the printed word...and you keep "quoting". What...each day....are you DOING to put those words into practice?
If it's quoting, discussing, flipping pages and quoting more....you have lost all meaning.
Have no fear! You'll be great at reciting Scripture of the Christians...but when asked....at your time, what will you have DONE in life? Told people to read?
I can tell the Lord that I followed him and the disciples in spreading "the GOSPEL of the kingdom" like we've all been instructed to do...all which was instructed in the "good book"
Your last sentence is precisely what I was getting at.
Took you awhile!
