Jesus spoke about the ones raising the dead, casting out demons and healing people, his followers, back in the days as not of the world.

They walked the earth not of the world so what does the end of the world actually mean theological.

John 15:19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

John 17:14-16 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

The end of the world means not being hated by the world anymore.

John 4:5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.

Nobody will be of the world anymore.

There will be no more world listening to those of the world.

Does it mean everybody will be not of the world?

1 John 5:19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

Satan will have no more world to rule. Does it imply the 1000 years of Satan being in the bottomless pit?

John 12:31 The time for judging this world has come, when Satan, the ruler of this world, will be cast out.

When those of the world haven't become not of the world, will they end with the world?

Did you ever wonder why Christians and Muslims and JV and all of those are so obsessed with the End of the World?

I think it comes from a thinking in terms of what you observe in nature, the biological world. To me it seems somewhat flabbergasting how that would apply to anything Theological?
The Science of God stuff.
Your question is from my point of view pretty easy to answer:
If you think bringing about the end of the world to serve whoever is making you a good person, you probably are not among the ones who deserve graduating, wouldn't you agree?

It's one of those Sphinx things I believe. We got in our religion so much stuff implemented that make Christianity the sacrificial lamb. I mean it is right there in it, isn't it?
It just seems a little mean because Christians are not aware that the path they chose for salvation is what makes it impossible for them to be saved.
Because it is not consensual, if you will.
Christians think they save themselves. That's where they are wrong in the bigger picture.
You bring about the end. For selfish reasons.

It's more like the others you condemn (or try to) will not get wasted just because you serve the Lord of Lies.
It's sad really because I know plenty of Christians who are good people. I hope at least some of them are still working on saving the world instead of ending it.

Here we go again! Modern day Christians quoting a book (the bible) as if it’s the ultimate truth produced by god himself. When in-fact its contents were decided upon by emperor Constantine and the Bishop of Alexandria, Athanasius. The list of books were then put in front of over 300 bishops gathered from around the Roman Empire and agreed. Lots of followers (including Nazarenes) weren’t happy with the control the Holy Roman Empire had over the new religion and challenged it. To then be called heretics. The Church of Rome dominated this book and the direction of the Church. Today there are over 100 different bibles written in English. Yet modern day Christian’s still clutch to its every word which on many occasions has been found to be false. That’s why Christian’s hate historian’s, archaeologists and researchers. 100+ years ago the bible was the only written record of their belief system but now it is slowly starting to unravel. Faith is having a belief even though there is no evidence to support that belief. Blind faith is having a belief even though there is no evidence to support that belief and a considerable amount of evidence to contradict that belief.

I am still waiting for the day when I read your comment and it is actually on topic.

Not that I am not entertained mind you, I think you are funny. But probably not as you would want to be seen.

I fear you do me a great disservice. You have a very superficial understanding of what and why I post. But if I worried about my success in piercing that obtuseness that seems inherent in Christian fantasies about reality, I would never post. Given the sophistication and understanding of what is usually posted here on ATS, it's likely a fool's errand, but I still stand by my record here.

the World--the world system, the world machine, the fallen world, contaminated by sin. Christians are members of the Kingdom of Heaven. we live in the world but do not follow the world's values and modes.

The end of the world means not being hated by the world anymore.
Nobody will be of the world anymore.

the 'end of the world' means the end of this current age. Jesus will return and set up His kingdom. the sin contamination will be no more.

yes. satan will be bound for 1000 years and let loose for a time. he will tempt the uncontaminated at the end of the millenium. they will have to resist the tempter.

I don’t know why it is that you are so disgusted with Christianity…and we all know that type, so I already know the answer…

But why don’t you do what reasonable people DO when they find information obtuse or incomprehensible and simply ask someone to clear up what it is you don’t understand? I can’t assure you anyone can change your mind, but devoted Christians will usually do their best TO answer those questions you have if you would just be so kind as to ask!

Let me just add too while I’m on the subject…

Three years ago or so, I was just like you. I would actually peruse Christian sites and read the things they were saying just for the entertainment value I derived from the simpleton responses and such as I felt people who were Christian were naïve fools. I was a straight up Atheist.

I was asked to do a job, as a translator, which led me to reading a few biblical times and apocrypha and in doing the work, I realized I had never even known what the story of the Bible was. And when I read it, EVERYTHING just started to make sense. From existential questions, to the incredibly complex and science fictions claims which just blew my mind. And when I threw in doin some diggin into symbology, numerology, etymologies…all of which only appear in Greek or Hebrew, but they are otherwise impossible to ignore.

Since I became Christian, I have made several attempts to real the Bible in English. Especially Bibles which were derived from the King James texts. I was surprised when I learned what a bastardized joke of a religious text the KJV is. Purposefully misleading, intentionally divisive, even hilarious in some parts (if what has come of the mistakes weren’t so tragic) given that King James was well known as an absolute failure in his understanding of Greek and both intentional corruption along with horrible language skills, led him and demonology at John Dee, his coauthor, to really destroy the truth of the Bible and its messages.

Hell, he even removed an additional 4 to 8 books on his way to drop it off with the publisher as if King James, an unapologetic theist Luciferian who rebooted the Masonic cult and by his death made sure it covered the European map, has any claim that would make his assertion to make changes valid. I will never understand how ANYONE could entrust their souls to Mr. Mason himself who saw himself worthy of editing and changing and rewriting the book…as if a King has the right in his mind to pervert the text forever, as 97.1% of Bibles in the world no matter what language, came from that sick bastard.

The end of the world means not being hated by the world anymore.

According to the Bible, the “world” that will come to an end is the world of mankind who disregard God and pursue selfish desires. Just as he did in the days of Noah, God will bring an end to “a world of ungodly people.”—2 Peter 2:5; 3:7.

As 1 John 2:17 states, “the world is passing away and so is its desire.” This verse shows that God will destroy, not the literal planet earth, but the people who persist in their ungodly desires.

God's people are no part of this “world of ungodly people.” So after the above has been accomplished, nobody will indeed be of this particular “world of ungodly people” anymore, cause that world would have passed away. The Bible does speak about a new world or “earth” (2Pe 3:13) to come after the old world has passed away.

A New World According to God’s Promise

... “There are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.”—2 Peter 3:13.

What is the “new heavens”? The Bible associates heaven with rulership. (Acts 7:49) The “new heavens” is a new government that will rule over the earth. It is new because it will replace the present system of rulership; it is also a new development in the outworking of God’s purpose. It is the Kingdom for which Jesus taught us to pray. (Matthew 6:10) Since God is its Source and he dwells in heaven, it is called “the kingdom of the heavens.”—Matthew 7:21.

What is the “new earth”? It is not a new globe, since the Bible clearly states that the earth will be inhabited forever. The “new earth” is a new human society. It will be new because the wicked will have been cut off. (Proverbs 2:21, 22) All who then live will honor and obey the Creator and will live in harmony with his requirements. (Psalm 22:27) ...

...

In that new world, human society will be united in worship of the true God. ...

We all know how those discussions go. It's quoting bible verses to argue bible verses it's circular logic and not interesting unless you want to reinforce your own bias.

Point out any of the logical fallacy religious people fall for and some get rather vile.

and we all know that type, so I already know the answer…

I don't know the answer. Please be yourself and talk freely so we know what enlightening contribution you had to add. Insteadof underhand insinuations.
What type? And what's the answer in your head... Not everyone is a clairvoyant holy cow.

There is a clear correlation between inteligente people and those that stay away from religious doctrines...

Yes, when it comes to the Bible usually the term circular logic comes up, meaning nothing at all, imagined and just used to confuse or perhaps pure ignorance.

Thank you.

Wrong again sorry! But there was no Noah the actual person who was told to build a boat was Ziasudra a 1000 year before Judaism. Noah is a made up name because at the time they wanted a monotheistic religion. Naming him Ziasudra would mean having to tell the real story and admit there were other gods.

When those of the world haven't become not of the world, will they end with the world?

That depends on where the Lake of Fire is located. We know that the current heavens and earth will be dissolved to make room for the new ones.

2 Peter 3:10-13 - But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

More on the Lake of Fire and the "second death"...

Revelation 20:4-6 - And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Revelation 20:13-15 - The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
