It shouldn't surprise anyone that these stories are out there, the man's been getting away with this kind of vileness for years.
The sad thing is all the people who think that he's been set up because he's been 'telling the truth' or some such rot on his podcasts / videos / rants.
Let us await developments - and ask why it is that a blind eye is turned to celebrities that get away with this kind of thing, purely because they are famous.

There's 'in-industry' private forums for women to warn others about rapists in the business that he was one of the most heavily accused abusers on from 2005/6ish onwards (ex was a fashion editor for Grauniad and had a lot of stories of him and the mighty boosh guy being complete wrong uns - shame as i was a huge mighty boosh fan.

Any thoughts on why his lawyers have remained silent on the issue/failed to seek any injunction? He's known this investigation had been going on for a few years and they'd always threatenned the victims with legal action when they asked for a private appology - yet absolutely no action taken to seek an injunction against Times or Dispatches about the claims despite UK Media Law being so restrictive such injunctions have been eailly obtained by footballers or Trafigura despite more concrete evidence being presented by media orgs in court.

Agreed. Speaking as a journalist I can guarantee that the metaphorical 'Go' button to publish this story would not have been pressed without substantial legal consultation. Libel laws in the UK are notoriously pro-plaintiff. If Brand doesn't sue then he must not have a legal leg to stand on.
But then it's still early days and we await developments.
