Russell Brand denies 'serious criminal allegations' he claims are being made against him

"In the wake of the claims, the Metropolitan Police said it would speak to the Sunday Times and Channel 4 after their investigation about Russell Brand.

In a statement, the force explained: “We are aware of media reporting of a series of allegations of sexual assault. At this time, we have not received any reports in relation to this.

“If anyone believes they have been the victim of a sexual assault, no matter how long ago it happened, we would encourage them to contact police.

“We spoke with the Sunday Times on Saturday, September 16. We will be making further approaches to the Sunday Times and Channel 4 to ensure that any victims of crime who they have spoken with are aware of how they may report any criminal allegations to police.”

Dannii Minogue seems to have rather a low opinion of Brand also describing him as a "vile predator".

She continued: "I was told he got sacked from MTV in the past for wearing an Osama bin Laden costume to work the day after September 11.

You only had to watch and listen to him for a few minutes back in the day to determine that, you don’t have to refer to the daily fail.

Like I said previously he was a media darling then, the past 5 years or so he has turned his life around and publicly speaks out against corruption and only now all this comes up, makes one wonder?

As for Saville he was an obvious creep/nonce and it was well known at the time, but because he had dirt on powerful people he was protected until after his death.

Reminds me of that Westminster scandal that just faded away because they couldn’t get a QC or whatever it was that was impartial, perhaps our resident journalist can remind us all about that affair?

What’s obvious is all these perverts that get away with it only do so because of blackmail and leverage. That’s how rotten things have gotten.

Seen that, i can only imagine what she's got locked away in her closet that may help to incriminate the greasy little weasel.

Then again the question begs, what does he have on her, and why would there be a rainy day?

Could be for blackmail, or the possible implication of such, or she could simply have been speaking metaphorically i suppose.

I'm sure she's going to be asked at some point given the stories that are coming out of the woodwork and the fact that they were married.

Yeppers. Stories have been flowing for years. Some of the reports are a little hard to swallow as just a rumor of it's true that one of his victims actually went to the hospital for a possible rape exam. But the thing that always gets me is, why wait so long? I get that careers are important but it seems like someone would have some mercy on possible future victims and take a little gamble and press charges against Russell Brand. It's so much more challenging when coming from behind like this and put's doubt of the claims in the forefront.

I personally believe the claims for the most part. It's simply coincidental that since Russell Brand has flopped out of the liberal pool and now leans much more along conservative lines. But maybe he thought that might protect him in some weird way. Or if you really wanted to throw a ton of conspiracy behind it, maybe that's WHY he switched sides, to make the conservatives look bad and take any negative appearance away from the left.

Now I don't believe that for a second but hey, I've seen some serious crazy these last several years.

There are lots of reasons why victims of sexual abuse are reluctant to come forward.

The lamentable record of Police taking such claims seriously and poor success rate, the trauma of reliving it in Court and being cross examined about intimate and personal details, trolling on social media, so called "slut shaming", facing up to someone in a comparative position of power etc.

I have little us for the guy.

Watching him annoys me.

However, there are false accusations and hit pieces out there and if the woman in the video it being truthful the reporters weren’t looking to put together a balanced documentary.

I don't think anyone is suggesting he raped everyone he went out with.

So im not quite sure how her claims of a ""wonderful weekend"" discount or disprove the allegations made against Brand or the stories of the 5 other women in the investigation that has spanned over a year.

Also, how does wearing an Osama bin Laden costume to work on September 12th make you a "nice fellow"?

If anything it just goes to show the kind of weird sick twisted individual Brand appears to be.

I don't believe it's as bad now but I could be wrong. I just read an article where female surgeons were being sexually harassed - even in the operation rooms. My god, have we not grown at all? It is quite disheartening.
