Maybe he doesn't have any grounds to do so? Who knows?

All just speculation but if he does let's see what happens.

The two others who were going to be outed for being part of the schoolgirl scandal obtained super-injunctions to stop the victims and press outing them.

I accidentally named one of them early on in the thread but I expect Parliametary Privellege will be used to formally name both of them as it's core to the C4/BBC child grooming and debate over chaging consent rules to stop over 25s grooming 16/17 year olds.

I highly doubt Brand has any litigation leg to stand on as Times/Dispatches as every journo working for them is at least Level 3 NCTJ Media Law accredited, they had a huge team of lawyers working on the story for years making sure both were legally sound and solid, they have all digital forensics which are proven unaltered since Sep '12 backing up the story.

If there's any errors, even minor ones, there would be further implemenation of backdoor privacy law, prior-notification, CFA litigation and other measures that are used to censor investigative journalism.

Which is why I believe this should be our Bastille Day, regardless of any allegations.

[...]As the project unfolds, it shapes the entire universe of discourse and action, intellectual and material culture. Comedian Nish Kumar says presence of sexual predators in industry is 'open secret' following Russell Brand allegations

Nish Kumar said Russell Brand's alleged abuse was well known on the comedy circuit, warning, "This stuff is still happening… there are still people working comedy who people will say, 'Oh, we don't send young women into their dressing room'."

However, he said the "very specific and serious allegation" against Brand that he had first been made aware of was not one that was discussed in the Channel 4 Dispatches programme which aired at the weekend.

I think the allegations are going to keep coming against Brand.

There seems to have been a "laddish" culture in which if a man has 1000's of sex partners he's a bit of a lad, but, if a woman? Then she's a slut.

Sadly, with some folk, this attitude is still alive and well?

Posting the same thing in multiple threads? As I said in others, many organizations such as the ACLU and Southern Poverty Law Center had at one time been good organizations. They are now just tools of certain political parties.

This is how it happens. Some wealthy donor gives a large donation. They use this to get certain people elected. No one fights it initially because it seems all good. Once they get enough power and enough board members, the organization no longer serves the initial purpose. It's the same organization in name only but they exploit the previous good work of the organization.

He's been arrested for sexual assualt a number of times in the past. He just hires Schilings (major lawfirm for the elites in the UK) as lawyers to threaten legal action against press and accusers for revealing it.

Thames Valley Police arrested him in July 2014 for sexual assault - he used the same lawyer as Megan Markle, Jenny Afia of Schillings, to stop the press reporting on it or her MP and the PM from helping her the issue.

Russel Brand protected by high court order over 2014 sexual assault

Jenny Afia, Schillings
Jenny Afia

She helps the world's most successful individuals safeguard their privacy and protect their reputations, even when faced by the most concerted and daunting of threats and challenges. Jenny is highly regarded for her dedicated, intuitive and assiduous work advising high net worth individuals across various industries, including those in the spheres of entertainment, technology and finance.
...
The vast majority of her work is 'below the radar', countering arbitrary interference into her clients' privacy, the dissemination of falsehoods, and stopping intrusive and/or false stories from being published by the media. If such stories are published, Jenny acts to quickly correct the record for her clients – upholding their privacy and reputation, which can entail litigation.

arrested and having a barrister fight your case is not a conviction of guilt which is worth separating out unless we really are adopting the guilty first ideal.

it would have been an easier win to target the media behaviour in the noughties but then like Epstein it might unmask stuff that none of them want unmasked, in 20 years will we be complaining of the known knows of c4 putting on artists who play music with their willies so basically allowing flashing if from the right group..

are we going to find it didn't change from the 60s/70s/80s/90s/00s or now.. at some point it will actually implode be it another Rochdale or Rotherham, or another smith/Saville or Harris.

I wish no such thing and if you'd paided attention to my posts you would have seen I made no attempt and calling him guilty.
What I have done is pointed out the hypocricy of some, Jumping to defend Brand without anything other than Brands own denile. Ready to slam and slut shame any woman for coming forward.

I see you make no comments or apology after Bastion showed you evidence of Brands previous, which you claimed was him blowing smoke??

It's almost inevitable that Brand has at least one "super injunction" out there, gagging the press from reporting on his misdemeanours. It's why the current set of allegations went via the press. If one of those women made an independent allegation, it would have been covered up.

In the uk it is “sad” people are still allowed opinions…..
Don’t worry their government is busy remedying that…

Thoughts aren’t a crime there……yet…..

Agreed with that - I was responding to the previous post about only one person approaching police as there were a few over the 2003 - 2017 period, also worth mentioning arrest in the UK is different than the US - I know bugger all about US law but UK arrest is similar to US detained and UK charged more the equivalent of US arrest.

There were/are more media figures to be outed in the Times/Dispatches series. One of the other high profile comedians who was going to be unmasked stripped some 16 year old boys exposing them to the huge studio audience as 'a joke' .

'Computer said yes' to his super-injunction over his regular antics and sexual assualts with 16 year old girls and possibly younger which stopped his accusers claims being broadcast in the Times/Dispatches.

The Times have reported the same police taskforce (Hydrant?) who worked on the Saville case recently confirmed they are currenty working on criminal inquiries on around 60 (58 IIRC) tv/radio/ent figures and around 250 other prominent public fiures in the UK over historical sex abuse claims so there's a hell of a lot more going to be unmasked over coming months and hopefully a major review of the various UK gagging order laws.
