Pelosi's Words from 2019 Are Now Being Used Against Democrats in Biden Impeachment Push

Just in case anyone has forgotten, this X quote by Byron York reminds us...

“On October 15, 2019, three weeks after unilaterally declaring an impeachment inquiry, Speaker Pelosi, backed by Adam Schiff, insisted there was no requirement to hold an authorizing vote and she would not hold an authorizing vote.”

A CNN article from 10-15-2019 reported Nancy saying...

“There’s no requirement that we have a vote so at this time we will not be having a vote and I’m very pleased with the thoughtfulness of our caucus with the path that we are on,” Pelosi said in news conference Tuesday evening, following a meeting with her caucus.

Now in 2023, McCarthy returns the favor...

Now, the Democrats are getting their just deserts. As Pelosi so flippantly dismissed McCarthy’s formal request for an impeachment inquiry vote back then, McCarthy is now doing the same to the former speaker and her Democratic counterparts. President Joe Biden’s fate is now at the mercy of a Republican majority.

Source
Some around these parts have insisted their needs to be a house vote for an impeachment inquiry. If you hold to that, you must admit Nancy and Adam were wrong, or you must admit it's only okay if the democrats do it.

Not that Joe is in any real danger from this impotent 118th congress, but what's good for the goose...

I don't understand how anyone can't see that when you set a standard, those standards will be used against you.

The Dems started an impeachment with no evidence and no vote so don't bitch if the Republicans do the same.

I was thinking a while ago about how the right is above the lunatic fringe ways of the left, and doing things right will pay off. Well, it won't. Playing by the rules of old is asinine. The only way to win is to play by the new rules the opposition has put in place by their actions. This includes assisting people in filling out their ballots and helping to deliver them to the voting stations where applicable. As long as you do the same things they do, they can't say a #ing word, lest their words be thrown back at them wrapped in mud.

Well, it would be in a sane world, but the dems clearly make up things as they go. Its sad, but yes, if republicans want to remain in power, they have to resort to the new standards of behavior.

US ended a while back. It's soft civil war now.

The Democrats today are like the pot calling the kettle black.

I am rubber (Trump) you are glue (Biden), what bounces off me sticks to you.

When will politicians ever learn that their dirty tricks
will come back to haunt them
and they have made dirty tricks
not only acceptable
BUT LEGAL to be done to them.

That’s true, but I just want to remind all the mouth breathers on the right that an impeachment hearing isn’t a judicial proceeding. An impeachment is a process prescribed by the Constitution, not by federal law, so your statement seems to be a non-sequitur.

It really chaps my a$$ to hear Adam Schiff preaching about impeachment on msm. After the stuff that guy pulled he should have been flogged.

I’m not a violent person but I would love to beat that man with a wet pool noodle.
Does that make me a maga right wing extremist?

Maybe you need to remind Nancy of that fact, since she's the one who coined the term regarding this topic.

True, but the Democrats ignored the law, and process
thereby making it tacitly and forever legal for
Republicans to ignore same the law and process they did.

Be careful what you wish for, seems the Democrats ignored the constitutional process to get what they wished for, and now that they made it legal to do so, have had it come back to bite them.

I didn’t see you come out to say this when all the mouth breathing Leftists were saying it about Trump.
You were right there cheering it on.

It was in reference to the exact thing Pelosi said. Kind of why I posted it. If you need help, phone a fren.

One must fight fire with fire.

In 2 short years the nation under Democrats:
1. has seen increase in homelessness and poverty
2. rampant and unending inflation
3. salaries of the middle/lower class not keeping up with inflation
4. an administration losing a court battle over freedom of speech (Biden threatened social media to get them to censor speech during COVID) And now sent a marching order to journalists to investigate all Republicans who are investigating him
5. increasing crime, too slow response times of police in major Dem cities
6. the unwillingness of people to become police because they are so demoralized and demonized
7.open drug use on city streets
8.racist slurs and innuendos regularly thrown at a black Senator who is running for President of the US.
9. illegal immigrants sold into sex and labor slavery being overlooked
10. Dem states passing laws to allow healthy females to abort healthy full term babies
11. Erasure of women as no Democrat or liberal will define what a woman is, thus erasing women and womanhood
12. Pelosi demanding that the word mother not be allowed in legislation because the word is transphobic
13. trying to make laws that will make anyone producing a gas powered item (stove, furnace, lawn tool, water heater, vehicle) a criminal
14. inability to recruit for a woke military that puts DEI above all else, making generational military families (the main source of recruits) telling their children not to enlist, which will end up in a draft and probably a male/female draft out of equity and equality and justice.
15. a weaponized DOJ and unequal justice system
16. in Dem run CA decriminalized shoplifting causing many stores to shutter

Democrats want to use dirty tricks?

Democrats MAY NEVER object to the same dirty tricks being used on them.

The fate of the nation is at stake, and Democrats set the standard under Trump for impeachment.

To save the nation we must let Democrats and liberals know what their dirty tricks feel like and what their dirty tricks do to people and to the nation.

Seriously dig yourself out of what ever media hole you are in and expose yourself to more sources. Most of your points are half-truths spread so thin by partisanship they dont even resemble the world around us.

In Jan 2021, no impeachment inquiry. Pure railroading of President Trump.

They are the truth and what is happening.

Just because you rely on CNN and MSNBC and the NY Times and sites that only verify your points of view, doesn't mean these things are not real and are not happening.

I read lots of international news because it frequently gives a far more unbiased point of view when it comes to the US. Do you read any sources that disagree with your point of view? Is it is a case of the pot calling the kettle black, sorry.

My list resembles the world around me:

My brother-in-law in CA has homeless living in his backyard and the police will do nothing.

Look at the hell holes that SF, Portland and LA have become. All due to Dem run defund the police movements, riots and looting, demanding police be cut back drastically.

I visited Dem run Seattle recently and it is a mess of homeless laying everywhere and piles of garbage under the underpasses, downtown sidewalks are dangerous with feces and urine covering them.

I have friends who now must choose between rent and buying food due to inflation. I have helped many of them out, people who have jobs and work hard.

Unless you have blinders on the points I made are reality.

And then their psycho pattern creeps up and they double down.
If we're going to play their game we have to play it better than
they do. And they have it mastered. The right is not as nazi
persistent like the left. That's a big problem.

I do expose myself to other outlooks and sources, that's why I am still trawling around ATS's Live feed which is more or less a GOP spam feed.

ATS was not like this in the past but thats a story for a different time.

I am a LEFTIST ON ATS. I see things that I dont agree with and/or know is untruthful daily. Just on this ONE site among many I visit.
EDIT (why is it always assumed you only visit CNN and MSNBC when you challenge something that goes against a right-wing talking point?)EDIT

So riddle me this, why are you seeing them only in Democratic controlled cities and states?

Because I see the same things in the GOP controlled state I live in.

And your list doesn't resemble the world, it resembles your personal world view and bias.
