Precedent. It's an interesting thing. You just have to make a move outside the box and it immediately becomes the new normal. This was the thing when Obama was king, his "wingman" did his bidding. Trump had a pathetic weak little bitch for a while, then traded him in for a bought and paid for shill. He could have had an attack dog, but didn't know how the game was played. He does now. So it appears going forward, if the election goes as it should, and Trump wins, he can fire the FBI folks, fire the DOJ folks, and hire his own personal crew, just as Biden has. I doubt that will be good for the country, but it can't be any worse than having that scenario right now.

We are in a bad place as a nation. The rate we are going downhill, coupled with the immense stupidity of an entire party, and a large portion of the opposing party, is dragging everything down to a scummy level. I think we will have to implode in order to rebuild the system again. But until that happens, we will all enjoy seeing the pendulum swing really hard in the opposite direction. And it will likely smash many on the way past.

May we all live in interesting times.

Yeah, it's getting interesting.

I'm still putting my money on a nuclear or EMP attack. But either way, next year is going to be crazy.

The majority of the DOJ and FBI are career bureaucrats. The head of the FBI has never been a Democrat and the current one was appointed by Trump. Biden appointed the AG, but that's something every President does.

So please point out where Biden cleared house in the agencies and installed his own people.

This is where Ramaswamy's rhetoric has shined.

Eliminating entire agencies.

You have described The Deep State very well.

I'm all for Trump winning too, might as well no matter
what even if convictions come, because the rest of
them are all criminals just walking free.

More power to him (Trump) imo.

What's the water crises playbook?

What happens if Lake Mead gets below the pipeline level next summer?

Scary thought... I lived in Phoenix for 5 years. That was constantly on my mind, especially being from Michigan, where we have an abundance of water.

What happens when the great western aquifer gets below the drills of most farmers? Bad times.

……..

Every incoming POTUS gets to either appoint or nominate with the Senate’s approval heads of agencies/cabinets and a certain number of political appointees to work within those agencies. That means that the previous agency leaders get fired (actually, they usually resign before the new POTUS comes in). It’s been that way my entire life. I don’t think anything has changed recently. That generally means that the Senate acts as a moderating influence on the appointment of attack dogs since it is rarely 2/3 Democrat or Republican. The system was designed that way to keep Presidents from becoming monarchs.

This is where Ramaswamy’s idiocy equals Trump’s. The POTUS doesn’t have the power to eliminate agencies. Promising to do that is equivalent to promising to make Mexico pay for the wall. It appeals immensely to his low information supporters but has zero probability of actually happening.

If Ramaswamy doesn’t know he can’t do that as POTUS he’s an idiot. If he does know he can’t do that but promises it anyway he’s a liar.

you cant beat the system because we all are the system. for me, the really alarming thing, and unfortunately this applies to many other countries in the world, is that more and more people believe in crude conspiracy theories. lost trust in institutions, science, politics. these folks believe that they have knowledge that makes them enlightened. interestingly, such people then fall for idiologies that in essence promise exactly what they fear: lack of freedom, no political choice, no free press, being at the mercy of others.

america is still a free and rich country. a melting pot of cultures, basically indefinable because of so many influences from all over the world. in these days somewhat confused. trump would drag the country into the abyss. china, russia and the saudis would celebrate that for sure.

there will be no civil war, no imploding system (the wall street maybe someday). this is just the wet dream of some radicals.

Between the executive and congress, any agency can be neutered and rendered powerless.

Since the rule of law is an utter joke, I hope the pendulum does swing back hard on the evil left.

When fighting with anti-Americans, anti-Constitutionalists IN OUR OWN COUNTRY, they abuse the rule of law, then hide behind it.

The evil left then abuses the Constitution, violates it daily, then wraps themselves in the flag and hides behind it.

Maybe we should simply treat them how they treat us.

If they, the evil left "protest", then we'll just call it an insurrection and lock them away for life.

Sounds fair, doesn't it?

Speaking of idiocy.........

Reorginization act of 1977

' § 9€3. Reorganization plans
" (a) Whenever the President, after investigation, finds that changes
in the organization of agencies are necessary to carry out any policy
set forth in section 901(a) of this title, he shall prepare a reorganization plan specifying the reorganizations he finds are necessary. Any
plan may provide for—

"(1) the transfer of the whole or a part of an agency, or of
the whole or a part of the functions thereof, to the jurisdiction
and control of another agency;

" (2) the abolition of all or a part of the functions of an agency,
except that no enforcement function or statutory program shall
be abolished by the plan;

^ "(3) the consolidation or coordination of the whole or a part
of an agency, or of the whole or a part of the functions thereof,
with the whole or a part of another agency or the functions
thereof;

"(4) the consolidation or coordination of a part of an agency
or the functions thereof with another part of the same agency or
the functions thereof;

"(5) the authorization of an officer to delegate any of his
functions; or

"(6) the abolition of the whole or a part of an agency which
agency or part does not have, or on the taking effect of the
reorganization plan will not have, any functions.

You really need to pull your head out of the MSM's rear end.
