Well I know why my son has said he never would. I will not use his words, but he will not fight or serve in a military that is 100% against his values and belief system. This youtuber ponders the same question and comes up with some obvious answers. Its funny that we have a political class that thinks our empire can throw its weight around without most of its youth having any care in the world about being a part of that. I suppose we are just SO Byzantine in DC now, that their answer will be the one that all dying empires pick, and that is soldiers of fortune. Soon our army will be chock full of foreign fighters who have no care in the world about this nation, only their paychecks. ANyway, here is the video:

Following because the upcoming generations seem to be bucking the system in many ways.

They know not of Patriotism. And most of their mothers and fathers where given psychotropic drugs by the arrangement of counselors, psychiatrist, teachers and even their parents for a control mechanism over the youth then.

Not sure about your reply? It feels insulting.

Maybe they simply choose not to be sent to far-off lands generally to kill brown people for the bankers.

They just can't be bothered in this day of age getting blown to pieces and ripped apart, both mentally and physically for governments that won't even offer them jobs or even a council house, proper prosthetic limbs, or the medical and mental health care they require should they manage to make it back home.

Stuff fighting in any war unless they are invading your own nation.

Why is our military having recruitment issues with GenZ?

I like that type of question .
Easy answer ...
1) They would have to perform this thing called work . Something they are adverse to .
2) They hate the US , and it should be like China or Russia . But provide everyone with a "living wage" (see 1 above)
3) They are opposed to rules , regulations , laws , and morality .

Yeah , we started this in the 60s and 70s .I am reformed though , and taught my children , and teaching my grandchildren how to be a good person . And self sufficiency and self responsibility .

On to the next question .

It all starts in the classrooms. The department of education and the teachers unions need to be ground into dust.

Mark my words, within the next two generations, most people will turn in their guns. They won't have to be confiscated because the classrooms will be turning out fully compliant and obedient commie-bots by then that only know "guns are bad" and government knows best.

Luckily I won't be around.

Gen Z joining the Military you say?

Ha!

Just try and get them off the couch from playing video games, let alone joining the military.

I’m thankful my kids aren’t like the majority in their generation.

Haven't they learned how to rationally shoot at the right targets with some video games?

No offense, but my middle son, that I raised is 21 and making 70K plus a year and just bought his own car and lives in a house he rents and is getting married and planning on making babies in about a year after they get married in 2024 (early). Not all GenZ kids are idiots. My 18 year old daughter just went to college - we shall see what the results of that are.

I made sure that my kids didn't need to join the military. My boys are the first generation of men in my family who didn't join the military after graduating high school. Most of my veteran friends also did what they could to help make sure their kids didn't need the military.

because they weren't brainwashed by the government like previous generations, ironically because regan repealed the laws that allowed government to control the media because it was unconstitutional, every president since then has been removing all remaining traces of government control and influence over the media, it began with my generation but enough influence was still left that most of us were still rather patriotic even if a significant portion of us were anti war, anti patriotic, leftists, etc, but gen z had no such influence and an abundance of information us millenials couldn't imagine was available from early on, they are also more connected to people beyond America so more international in mindset and less willing to cause suffering for the sake of American interests, not just on the left either, its the more mainstream now than it has been since before ww2, its how we used to be before war propaganda corrupted our people.

When you know the history of who funds ALL of our wars (both sides I might add) and how so many of them were started over out right lies it's hard to blame the younger generation. As a matter of fact as a veteran I do my best to educate them on why there is no honor in fighting for a corrupt money machine! Our enemy isn't abroad, it's in our own back yard.

This is the right answer. I have 5 kids, 3 graduated, and none of them have any need or desire to join the military.

1) They have no Pride in the United States .

2) They are Lazy .

3) They are scared to be yelled at and disciplined and be subject to consequences if they don't listen.

4) and to be honest an Active War helps recruiting like crazy.
