Sure faithless electors have existed before. Individual electors deciding on their own what is best for their state dispite the popular vote in the state.

But what about a conspiraciy to organize groups of electors to overturn the results of an election, Has that been done before?

As I understand it Trump isn't being accused of wanting to "find more votes"; but instead he is being accused of conspiracy to over turn an election. Sounds like the same conspiracy the Clinton and Stien were engaged in when they tried to organize faithless electors in order to over turn the 2016 election.

Trump's "perfect phone call" came after Georgia had already done multiple recounts and Trump had commissioned two independent investigations that found nothing.

It was a Hail Mary from a weak man. And now it will be used as just a small piece of evidence to show that he created a criminal enterprise with the sole goal of illegally keeping him in power.

Would a guy who truly believed he lost the election fair and square spend a million dollars to find the fraud he is pretty sure exists and caused him to lose the election? If the answer is no, then the Jan 6th case is gone. You can't have it both ways, even if it makes you moist.

they aren't stupid, though it's super hard to tell based on posts alone. They know this is overtly political, but as Biden said, and many never Trumpers before, "we must make sure Trump never takes office again BAMN."

They are willing to burn it all down because they were told/programed to believe Trump will do horrible things, even though in his first 4 years, he did many good things, and didn't go to war with anyone.

You can know you lost and still hold out out hope that someone you're paying millions to will somehow "find" something.
You wouldn't plot a whole scheme if you thought you hadn't lost and knew anyone in your orbit had any actual proof of fraud. You would proceed with your proof, and maybe encourage faithless electors that could be handled on the 6th. But, nope, had to scheme, plot a whole fake elector debacle, and harass/ lie to a regular citizen. So badly they had to flee their home due to death threats and threats from impersonation of federal officials.
