Religions explain that.
Not really, man is still imperfect without hereditary diseases....

It's recorded in the fall of humankind in Genesis. I know you have Bible-phobia though, so you can also refer to any of the recorded golden ages of most cultures, which describe an ancient prestigious humankind where health and longevity were prototypical.

The Bible has a lot of good historical information, so no, I'm not in fear of it. Well God picked some really F uped diseases... Yea God!

Well, tell that to the 2 year old that dies of a hereditary disease.

Come now Coop... we all know that you first have to prove the existence of God before you can claim that He warned us about anything.

Nah it would be the parents that ought to have known, they're the ones giving the child the genome, good or bad. Believe it or not there are cause and effect mechanisms in this world, and neglecting the basics of a healthy mind, body, and soul has consequences. God literally warned us this was the case....

I just did the calculations for the existence of God for Coop and it surprisingly came out to also be 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000...
...000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 .

You're saying that your 'loving' god, to punish some past deed, would cripple or kill the innocent child of a future generation? It isn't a god you worship, it's a demon.
Your particular cult is for the mentally deranged. It's despicable.

If I do those things, I suffer the consequences. My child or grandchild doesn't suffer from diabetes, I do.

Can I refer to other cultures for their origin and creation beliefs?
I mean, how much more or less true can they be compared to the Bible?
How does this Golden Age fit into the Bible? Where is it?
Because I remember sin coming into the picture asap, and other than long lives, nothing but wars and such. Doesn't sound like a very golden age to me.
Not to mention those other cultures weren't worshipping your God.

Excellent thread as usual, thanks for the great work! I marvel every time I witness the cellular machinery doing its thing - we are indeed "..fearfully & wonderfully made".
The more we discover the truer that statement becomes!

So sinners should not have children?
A child through no fault of its own may miss out on God's gift?
Maybe they didn't do the extended math, applying it to the average mutation rate of bacteria and the estimated number of all bacteria on the planet.

Yet there may be average mutation rates, then there may be rare mutation rates. Maybe nobody can get the math right because it's all just theory.
Sinner is a big word with many definitions and/or interpretations from different belief systems.
