The reply apparently appeared overnight... how would that be possible with the amount of info needed?

Even if it appeared overnight, being a drawing based on a grid of squares, it's the easiest thing to make.
This is the supposed answer:
It's easy to see that it was made line after line.

So let me get this straight. They sent a message to outer space to the Aliens who live on Earth, telling some fairytale story about Evolution. I bet they are laughing their asses off, literally.

LOL exactly! And not only that, they expect RADIO transmissions (of all the outdated technology, that is the worst) to come from ETs....hahahahahahaha! Oh you can't get much more primitive than that and then to expect another civilization to be doing the same thing is so hilarious. Besides that, they presume ETs live on other planets AND that evolution is science. "They'll understand this, evolution is a law of nature"...hahahaha! Sending a radio signal into space that signals our belief in a failed theory of science. Yeah, that's what we need to tell another species about us.

Put the bread in the slot, push down the handle, the wires get hot. YEAH toast!
So this group expects to listen for just 1 hour in the hopes that they'll hear a reply? A big dose of hopium that they'll pick anything up.

May I suggest that the radio astronomers send images towards other likely habitable star systems, that include the images of an average human welcoming the image of an actual ET sentient being --- That attempt should make them feel more at home and less likely to be afraid of us.
