If you have claims, other than personal experience that can't be sourced, pretty well understood you should be able to back it up with sources. Not just a "you can look it up yourself" because who knows, we could find things that differ from what you're saying then you're going to get pissed off that we are calling you out for being wrong.

Well I can certainly produce links but it's too much work right now and I'm exhausted so maybe later on, but they do exist.

You are the one making claims, why should I do the research? There are no actual large studies on the subject. You are just stating what you believe to be fact. Now use your fingers and prove that I'm wrong.

No, about a month back I searched the net wondering what people who transitioned really felt and the numbers were higher than the detransitioned folks. Anyway, it will take more effort than I can muster right now.

With all this and multiple other threads about the tran, it makes me wonder…

If an actual mature transsexual adult and former child and adolescent trans kid with decades of research and a lifetime of lived experience in these matters participated in these threads, would it even matter? Would anybody even listen?

I see the majority of people here express nothing but opinions and their feelz probably based on little more than what they’ve read from a right leaning news source, saw in a video or gleaned from following the party line of political rhetoric, dogma and discourse without any actual experience with someone trans that exhibit a lot of close-minded attitudes and an unwillingness to consider anything other firmly entrenched beliefs so it doesn’t seem like hearing things straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak would make any difference at all? Am I right?

I know of such a person that might be willing to participate, share their accumulated knowledge and references and answer questions but they’d have to be out of their mind to think in this mostly antagonistic environment that it might open anyone’s mind or alter anyone’s perspectives at all. Would what they have to say simply be written off as purely irrelevant anecdotal evidence or part of some nefarious ideology even if they aren’t an idealogue or would it be helpful toward bringing more understanding to this phenomenon?

I’ve been around ATS a lot longer than my account would indicate and I’ve seen trans people try before that usually hasn’t ended well but my question is, is it time for one to try again?

it's funny, most who chose the aggressor path on ATS have "been around ATS a lot longer than my account would indicate" due to being banned for being assholes multiple times.

It would be boring to have only the yin, and no yang, so you do serve a purpose, but most here I speak to, have strong opinions and come here to challenge them. If they keep losing arguments, eventually, you have to question your position.
And right now, being the guy who is arguing against the safety of children seems to be the wrong avenue. Time will tell on that.

So let me get this straight...people in line with the majority are welcome and dissenting or alternate views are not? Sounds like you're saying as long as voices join the echo chamber, then all is well?

That doesn't seem like it is in the spirit of a discussion board and from what I've been told here, not exactly what ATS strives to be?

Right now, I am following a VERY well educated and prominent medical doctor. He explained in his book that I really envy penises, like most woman, and all my problems result from me not dealing with this envy.

This lady has psychological issues herself. Children don't create revolutions. They aren't getting together and deciding to change the world. The adults are using children to create the revolution THEY want to have.

They came to her for help because their family doctors could not help them. Doing nothing is not an option, keep that in mind.

Doing nothing was the ONLY smart option. If there were family doctors who refused to do something, then good for them 'not doing any harm' (their oath). Comeon ... hybrid trans? These are kids having imaginative fantasies and this quackpot doctor is saying they are valid trans children. SHE has a problem.

And there are lots of other options besides labeling a child and/or physically altering a child.

Can a person learn to be happy even if they hate how they look - absolutely!

Children should absolutely be taught that how they look should not decide how they feel about themselves.
