Mental illness has nothing to do with this scenario. They both knew that it was impossible for them to become ninja turtles and such were not.
Just as those that "identify" as mermaids should know they will never be one. And if they continue on with the delusion, they should seek mental help

And how can you tell the difference?
Does it only apply to things you believe it applies to?
If they identified as a ninja turtles and after praying to wake up as such, they both did not. If this identifying is indeed a mental illness type scenario they would both have woken up identifying as ninja turtles, not saying 'oh darn' I'm still a boy.

All of these gender affirming Dr's seem to be following/aligned with Dr John Moony. He did some sick experiments trying to change children's gender. He mostly discredited and his experiments were a failure.

No, you act like a mermaid......
If I go to a class that teaches me how to act like a car, does this make me a car?
If your answer is anything but no, that tells me everything I need to know. Not sure why this is confusing to anyone
Children are also acting as mermaids because of their imagination, which most will outgrow. If they want to continue to fantasize as adults being mermaids, they can act the role, and if they do why does that bother you?

LOL, thank you for making the most coherent argument against all this I could think of.
Always remember, when you are giving kids drugs to block their puberty, and it does irreparable damage to that child, that most of them would have outgrown this silly idea on their own.

Yes, and those that don't take those drugs, usually end up getting their junk cut off
Also take a minute to consider, those doctors make money on drugs they prescribe. That is the main reason you are given scripts for a million drugs that never seem to help when you get sick so you have to keep going back to get more. So if I were you I would not follow the "recommendations" of those "doctors (plural)" too closely

Up until recently women did not step up to say 'me too' and so sexual abusers were free to operate as usual.

The "me too" movement also created some false accusations, ruining the lives of those accused. Just as giving kids drugs to change their development will ruin theirs.

If they really cared about the welfare of the child, they would be doing things other than shoving pills down their throats and cutting off parts of their bodies.
