You asked for an example and I provided one for you to look into. You do know there was a massive uproar over what FL was doing and was commonly referred to as the anti-gay Bill by the left though gay had zero to do with it.

We also need to understand what role school should perform, it isn't an all-encompassing thing replacing parents, role models, support agencies, etc in a child's life. We don't teach football then tell everyone halfway through the practice to pull out their musical instruments. This isn't to say we should not teach music overall, just not during football practice. School is much the same way in teachers should keep to the adult teacher role model and not try to be friends with their students feeling like they need to explain all their personal details, and the school doesn't need to teach things that are better within other avenues available and at better age groups overall.

If my kid is failing math, I'm not going to force him to read books on anal sex. I'm not an evil leftist.

I'm going to focus on math and make sure he improves instead of always lowering the bar to make sure he passes.
